Great VLJ. Good owner pilot value with about 30 for sale of the 300 or so in the US. With a rate of sale averaging 6 to 7 units per month, including new units, there might be about a 7 to 10 month supply on the shelf when we allow for the new units from Cessna. Check out the aviongoo.com market stats page for Mustangs to see for yourself.
No, it only has about a third the range you'd need to get to Africa. Unless there are some islands I don't know about, you'd need to go through greenland, Iceland, and then Europe to get to Africa. Cessna's home page has a range map that can show this.
these jets are probably real bitchy to learn if you are coming off a single or dual piston engine. imagine waiting for a jet engine to spool when you need instant power (typical scenario for a learner in a small aircraft that lacks momentum in the air).
It's really tiny and with only an 1100 nm range--I don't think that's enough. That's only about what, 2.5 hours of flying time with reserves? That's not much.
AircraftCompare DOTcom has every details with specs and photos of almost every aircraft in the planet, commercial, military or private jets, from the past present and FUTURE FLYING CARS, you have it all. Compare the Boeing 747 or the A380 side by side, or the MIG vs the F16, this site also has user feedback generated category wise airplane and helicopter rankings. Cool stuff guys do check it up .....
All modern goods have to meet the conveniencies considering up-to-date requirements!!! The duration of flight can last 3h30m, (range - 2130 km, econ. cr. speed - 630 kmph). God forbid, you will never use them )))))))!!!
You really think the Phenom 100is better. Well you go fly it it and there comment on it. I think the Honda Jet will be a class ahead in the VLJ category. Will just have to wait
Hello Branblaze, i fly the Phenom 100 The Performance is just outstanding, is the best "vlj" so far(Embraer calls it "entry level jet" not vlj) the Mustang and the Phenom have pretty much the same range, same top ceiling but the Phenom cruise at 390 kt tas, better avionics(prodigy flight deck), better looking, bigger cabin, better interiors, a stair, which gives the plane ramp presence, even a toilet, 600 cycles before maintanance, def, another category.
Less than minimum wage? That is pretty impossible.
Besides, the Mustang is designed to be owned by customers/pilots who want to move up from single- and multi-engine propeller aircraft. Point being is that chances are, the person who owns the aircraft will be the one flying it.
well i meant less than minimum wage for what someone would get annually. Because your not paid to fly this jet every day for 8 or whatever hours a day for the whole year. it's just every once in a while.
You can buy some full-sized Boeing (like the charter ones) from the '80s for under $2,5 mill. So yes, you can :) I don't know about the state of the machinery, though :)
that would be cool to have a 747 for a private jet. it'd be hell to keep up, and fuel though. I still think one of the ultimate private planes would be a DC3. I love the way WWII era piston driven planes look, and sound. Especialy the f4u.
i saw a learjet 25 for $200,000 dollars!, but then again, it is a 35 year old plane,... but its BEAUTIFUL!!! I do agree with what you said,.. i dont think its really worth the price but this is a great plane and its so easy to fly!!! :) ,0605007837

The guy is 6'4, 290lbs. In most (North American base), executive class cabins, this guy wouldn't have much if any more room. The woman looks nervous but comfortable. Keep in mind that once you have the training, you can fly this solo, meaning no co-pilot is needed for flights. A major plus because you can either fly it yourself, or hire half the staff ;)
I like the lear 24 VLJ.(grin).. much faster and louder.I saw the mustang and it was ugly. If your going to buy a jet make it sexy like a fast car. That fancy taxi diagram... This is one advantage that the Mustang has.
My only point is that the Eclipse is cheaper - but not better - for many reasons.
