  • i dont like this... i'll rather get the mid jet

  • People who say ergonomics make me want to punch them in the face.

  • Very good plane, though I think they should supply some air freshener included in the price.

  • I wanted to see the toilet. I'm freaked out by the toilet. It looks like its out there for everybody in the vlj to see somebody use it.

    ~ Fer

  • I notice they are in florida...i wish there was one of these plane shows near me so i can go check them out !

  • Great VLJ. Good owner pilot value with about 30 for sale of the 300 or so in the US. With a rate of sale averaging 6 to 7 units per month, including new units, there might be about a 7 to 10 month supply on the shelf when we allow for the new units from Cessna. Check out the aviongoo.com market stats page for Mustangs to see for yourself.

  • no bathroom?

  • @chrisstugots2 I believe that the little space you see behind the Copilots seats at 2:00 lifts to reveal a toilet

  • @TurbofanDude yup

  • vNe of 250. Fuel efficient though, you may see 330 over the ground in these.

  • oh man , when will private air transport become affordable?

  • get just cause 2 and u can have one

  • someday I'll have one of this...

  • @glodieda me too!!

  • It's gorgeous.

  • Amazing jet!

  • No, it only has about a third the range you'd need to get to Africa. Unless there are some islands I don't know about, you'd need to go through greenland, Iceland, and then Europe to get to Africa. Cessna's home page has a range map that can show this.

  • great jet

  • these jets are probably real bitchy to learn if you are coming off a single or dual piston engine. imagine waiting for a jet engine to spool when you need instant power (typical scenario for a learner in a small aircraft that lacks momentum in the air).

  • Amazing this plane is has really good flight specifications and with the garmin 1000 it's perfect.

  • It's really tiny and with only an 1100 nm range--I don't think that's enough. That's only about what, 2.5 hours of flying time with reserves? That's not much.

  • @bg11215 So what? Same specs with the Embraer and nearly all other VLJs.

  • can it travel to africa from usa?

  • does that thing have a lavatory

  • @RyanEssaf123 The "lavatory" on the Mustang consists of a toilet seat over a bucket surrounded by a retractable curtain.

  • Very narrow and it cause a depression for me if I fly with it

  • I love the G-1000!

  • how many people can say that for there day off they went to the bahamas

  • You have to have the right license and guess what, it's only 15 times the cost of a cessna 182!

  • I think you can remove a seat and replace it with a lavatory

  • 2.65 million ill get my fake checkbook.

  • Thumps up if you came here from NCIX tech tips harddrive video

  • this aircraft just seems all around impressive

  • I want one O.o lol, I got the FSX mod, guess that will have to do ^^ Don't have 2.65 million on me atm.

  • Now a baby can fly!

  • sick!

  • She's cute

  • Comment removed

  • embraer phenom 300 - is a real cool VLJ!!!

  • mustang hasn't got the lavatory, it's not so good )))

  • @FARANG100 u can fit a bucket on ther cant you?

  • Yes buddy, you're right, and i can put on the pampers too )))

  • lol. a bucket and febreze is all u need.

  • @FARANG100 ya but at 1100 mile range not sure you would really need one

  • All modern goods have to meet the conveniencies considering up-to-date requirements!!! The duration of flight can last 3h30m, (range - 2130 km, econ. cr. speed - 630 kmph). God forbid, you will never use them )))))))!!!

  • HAHAHA

FAT guy...almost need a C17 military cargo plane in order to carry him..

    Hehehe.

  • Phenom 100 is better

  • You really think the Phenom 100is better. Well you go fly it it and there comment on it. I think the Honda Jet will be a class ahead in the VLJ category. Will just have to wait

  • @branblaze

I agree Honda Jet will be better... in fact, as you said, it would be a class ahead... but that's because the Honda Jet is not a VLJ

  • Hello Branblaze, i fly the Phenom 100 The Performance is just outstanding, is the best "vlj" so far(Embraer calls it "entry level jet" not vlj) the Mustang and the Phenom have pretty much the same range, same top ceiling but the Phenom cruise at 390 kt tas, better avionics(prodigy flight deck), better looking, bigger cabin, better interiors, a stair, which gives the plane ramp presence, even a toilet, 600 cycles before maintanance, def, another category.

  • Why do you say so, did you actually flew it?

Your answer here on youtube would be probably yes but i highly doubt it.

    Phenom is the best

  • I like the on-screen approach chart -- now we just need to get the taxi instructions in machine-readable form from the tower... :-)

  • I came

  • its really cessna? Beautifull plane!

  • Fantastic value all things considered for a new small jet.

  • what a big guy..... 1:48

  • VERY GOOD !!!

    MARCELO GIL.

  • You can get the license at the Wal-Mart hunting and fishing desk. $40 bucks and your good to go.

  • LOL... Id hate to think of what would be going on if every redneck thought he could fly a jet

  • What kind of license is needed to fly on of those?

  • damn this plane is sick!

  • xaxaxaxDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • how much is a captain payed to fly one of these

  • less than minimum wage. It's less than minimum wage because this is a private jet, the pilot wouldn't be flying as often as a regional jet pilot.

  • Less than minimum wage? That is pretty impossible.

Besides, the Mustang is designed to be owned by customers/pilots who want to move up from single- and multi-engine propeller aircraft. Point being is that chances are, the person who owns the aircraft will be the one flying it.

  • well i meant less than minimum wage for what someone would get annually. Because your not paid to fly this jet every day for 8 or whatever hours a day for the whole year. it's just every once in a while.

  • dfdf

  • I preffer the Embraer Phenom 100. Better performance and confort.

  • True, but it does cost about 500 grand more, and it requires a slightly longer runway.

  • 2.65 mm USD! i want 5 ! tks!

  • sweet

  • I really really want to fly in, sit in, and pilot that beautiful jet.

  • 3 Million

  • just listen to the vid, he tells you...

    its only 2.65 million :-)

  • @nbgwriterking oh yeah thats right. Plus yearly maintenance which would easily run into tens of thousnads yearly!

  • @nbgwriterking compared ao the gulfstream g650 (65 million) that is cheap pocket change even lol

  • how much is it?

  • this thing being made in china, like cessna's sport class plane? made in china = run for your life...

  • uum...no. the mustang is built in Independence, KS...

  • @fishercollin It's built in Wichita, isn't it?

  • let's buy it shall we ?? LOL

  • I've got $50 to throw in. That should buy me an hour in 2614.

  • I agree, it does look a bit small.

  • 2.4 million ? does it even have a bathroom

  • yes

  • I like the Crustacean Mustang. My sister plays with a pink one that has Barbie on the side of it.

  • 2.6 mil.? Can't you get a much bigger private jet for that. A used one perhaps?

  • You can buy some full-sized Boeing (like the charter ones) from the '80s for under $2,5 mill. So yes, you can :) I don't know about the state of the machinery, though :)

  • that would be cool to have a 747 for a private jet. it'd be hell to keep up, and fuel though. I still think one of the ultimate private planes would be a DC3. I love the way WWII era piston driven planes look, and sound. Especialy the f4u.

  • i saw a learjet 25 for $200,000 dollars!, but then again, it is a 35 year old plane,... but its BEAUTIFUL!!! I do agree with what you said,.. i dont think its really worth the price but this is a great plane and its so easy to fly!!! :) ,0605007837

  • Sexy Jet.

  • "Old junk that didn't work"??

    The Mustang works just FINE.

I doubt anyone interested in an VLJ would really care to have a solar-powered electric prop plane!

  • i agree with you - but solar wont work for a plane until its in the air - the problem is how to get it in the air if it is using an environmentally friendly fuel.

  • There is a difference, you know, about futuristic and STUPID. Do you really think solar power will ever be able to power a jet? Look up what a jet engine is, it cannot run without fuel. STFU.

  • which country because cessna is a canadian company and I seriously doubt that they will be even able to make a private jet run off by solar

  • Does tis plane really need a co pilot.

  • Nope, this aircraft is certified for single pilot operation.

  • why this little plane need co-pilot?

  • It doesn't. It's certified for single pilot operation, but it's always nice to have another pilot along to help lighten the workload.

  • Best choice of the twin engine very light jets! The Mustang is a clean sheet design with no "oh shit" after thoughts added on. These people know how to build a light jet, any flavor you like.

  • pretty roomy plane for its size. if those big thighs fit.

  • Are those peephole or windows for the passengers?

  • i would be happy to own my own 172... citation is just in my dreams!

  • you sound excactly like me:)

  • this is an execellent airplane

  • If you want a fast jet, get the Citation X.

  • Just a tad more expensive though eh? ;-)

  • yup ; )

  • the Citation X is $21,500,000 , the mustang is $2,500,000, the X has 10 seats(2 crew, 8 pax), the mustang has six,

the X flys at nearly 600kts, the mustang flys 340, if you want to spend $19,000,000 more bux 4 lux, you could,... (although i have no idea wher anyone is going 21 freakin million) :) ,0605007837

  • The Citation X is a base 21.5 Million. Then it goes to a Cessna factory for "addons". Which brings it to almost

40 Million. Cessna does this program with all thier jet line.

  • My friend Kevin's dad has one of these. Rich bastard!

  • One word...

    SWEET!!!!!

  • they are not that fast small engines' and every time they need to start one up it needs a gpu. sucks if you have inportant people trying to leave.

  • No, you don't HAVE to use a GPU. It'll happily start under it's own power.

  • how fast can it go>????

  • It's actually very slow for a jet plane. Only 392MPH

  • almost 400 mph

  • I want one damnit!

  • nice. when's christmas again?

  • The guy is 6'4, 290lbs. In most (North American base), executive class cabins, this guy wouldn't have much if any more room. The woman looks nervous but comfortable. Keep in mind that once you have the training, you can fly this solo, meaning no co-pilot is needed for flights. A major plus because you can either fly it yourself, or hire half the staff ;)

  • hahaha maybe they should get a smaller sales men to make it at least look like hes comfortable

  • I want it.

  • I didn't quite understand what he said how many people fit into the plane. Pilot+copilot+4 passangers (in total 6 people), can this be?

  • dargno, the noise you hear is a ground air conditioner, they're in a static display, the airplane's engines aren't running!!

  • that thing is loud inside. no thank you

  • Agree with banditopilot, except i'd take the lear 25 for the toilet. :D

  • For long flights, you'll have to improvise :P

  • Toilet optinal! lol I want that option!

  • I like the lear 24 VLJ.(grin).. much faster and louder.I saw the mustang and it was ugly. If your going to buy a jet make it sexy like a fast car. That fancy taxi diagram... You can get that one most hand held aviation gps units for about 1-2k.. I would buy one of these any day over a eclipes micro jet.

  • cool vid but what about a toilet lol

  • just what i thought!!

  • ha ha yeah but seriously there should be one

  • i know, no long flights for me in that please

  • that would be terrible

  • the longest you could fly in that is about 3 hours.

  • dont worry theres a toilet in it...

  • I read somewhere that the toilet was optional

  • I thought the same as you. All those features but the most important! Toilet!

What do you do I you wanna pee or... lol

  • elcipse 500 is better and cheaper

  • Cheaper, but certainly not better. The Citation Mustang is faster, has more range, is more comfortable - and can fly IFR and in ice, which the Eclipse cannot do yet.

  • actuall... the eclipse 500 CAN fly in ice... i build the damn thing okay, anyway for the price you cant beat the 500,yes the mustang can fly a bit father but not much, and is it really worth it for the extra 1million??? uh NO!!!

  • Maybe it CAN, but it's not been certified, has it? See Wikipedia's "Eclipse_500" page, where it says:

The Eclipse 500 still has not obtained certification from the FAA to fly into "known icing conditions". The icing certification for the Eclipse 500 is expected in Q1 2008.

If that info isn't accurate, you might want to update it.

(more in next comment due to length limit)

    -DJ

  • I'd certainly agree with you that the Eclipse is cheaper, but I don't think it could be argued that it's "better". It's smaller, slower, goes less distance, etc. The avionics and certification status are issues. That said, I think we'd agree it's a great value for the price, and no one else has a product which comes close at this point.

    -DJ

  • it CAN fly in ice! yes your roght it may not have a dumb paper to say it but it can...it will be "certified" in a few months...

  • If it's not been certified for FIKI (flight into known ice), it can't be legally flown into icing conditions. This isn't just a small legal sticking point, it's fundamental - when you talk about insurance and liability for any persons that might be on board other than the pilot, it's critical.

This is one advantage that the Mustang has.

My only point is that the Eclipse is cheaper - but not better - for many reasons.

  • i think we can both agree then at this point that 1 is not better han the other...they both have a give and take

  • On features, speed, range and comfort, the Mustang wins.

On price, the Eclipse wins. Just a bit over HALF the price, so this isn't a trivial point!

    -Dane

  • Bon,si il y a un milliardaire qui m'en fait cadeau . .

    Je dit pas NON.

    Merci messieurs .

  • I want one!

  • dont worry, theres a bathroom in it .

  • will get one if won lotto

  • Looks fucking awesome.

  • Looks a little tight for big Texans.

  • I'm 6' 4" and 200 and too much & I fit in it just fine.

  • It's a great little airplane. I've worked on it. And if you have a spare two million lying around, get one. I command you.
