Saw Lush as a student in 1990, loved them. I bought Alvin Lives In Leeds on the strength of this track, lent the album to my mate who was a DJ on the uni radio station and it gained a cult following.
you know, i have loved lush for 20 years;seen them, bought the records and the t-shirts, then, tonight i find out they have covered this track by early 70's scots group middle of the road. they never fail to amaze me, and long may it be so!!
I remember hearing this when I was liike 7 years old(and that was a long long time ago, and it was one of my favorite songs, of cvourse it was not this version, they were'nt even born yet,lol
Absolutely. You are an utter, utter star, whoever you are! Fantastic - I've been trying to find the original for bloody ages. I want to have your babies.
I heard many versions of this songs over the years, none can compare with the original--Lally Stott.

It's not a song by Middle Of The Road, but by Lally Stott, who died in a crash in 1977... Learn history, children.
