Got the biggest smile toward the end of the video when you referred to our conscience as "Jiminy Cricket". My mom said that exact same thing to explain what the conscience was when she went through her baptism questions, and it totally went over the Elder's head, which brought us years of laughter.

Keep up the great work Laura. Good to see someone come out of the Watchtower and take a strong stand for individuality and free thinking.

@sbgrox11 I never gave it much thought but since I have been out and visiting other churches, I found myself feeling awkward about women preaching or talking directly to the people. I don't feel that way in a business situation, so why do feel like that in a spiritual one? Is it because are treated as second class citizens at the kingdom hall?

@TheShelia6 in a word YES. you do not need another church, write your own sermon for YOU. there is a book library might have called A God Who Looks Like Me....also some of the "lost" gospels of mary magdeline and watch DaVinci Code maybe.

Good vid Laura... I agree with some of your main tenants.... I also think some parents go beyond what is written... Even things written by the "bOrg", They may be so eager to be good JW's or good Christians... They become overly restrictive, rule oriented. You know I haven't been around JW's as long as you, but I get the feeling that things are moderating a bit.
