it doesn't look like there is an iPod docking station on the mixer. what the fuck! it shows right on DJDeals that it comes with an IPod docking station!
@opitical Of course that direct drive is better. Direct drive mean that the platter is plugged direct to the engine. Belt drive mean that there are a belt between platter and engine. Direct drive have more power and gives you more control while mixing or scratching. peace
yeah i have spoke to a few people online now and i went into a nearby dj store and asked and apperently it is really good for beginners so i think i will stick with it.
im a dj and mc on a internet site mixing radio, i still have my battle decks from back in the day, if you want to beatmatch the tempo gauge is a lil hard as the mix dont stay for very long compared to technics but its a great start
as luck would have it....no, but read on, im not being nasty, infact im now looking for another station as its gone bust....but its supposed to be merging with impact fm so, hey ill help you when someone helps me lol cheers keep up the mixing
mattyf when u had the mixer would you say that it would be a good starting mixer to scratch beatjuggle and mix...? because im contemplating buying the battle pack but its the only thing stopped me thank you.
If you mean it is bleeding, (when the slider is fully across at one side you can hear two tracks) I would take it back. If it is not new I would get a new crossfader, which you can pick up quite cheaply.
So i can use headphones and have for example the headphones on channel B while channel A is playing?do i have to switch the cable of the headphones if i want to switch channels on the headphones?
SWEET DJMATTYF, im a beginner dj and have been looking at the Numark TT1625 / DM950 Battlepack like yours. But im gonna use the mixer that you get with the battle pack, im wondering what they hv been like and if there anygood on scratching? cheers!!! (DJSKRIBBLEZ)
if i buy the pack what else do i need to use it with my laptop. i mean do i need sound card? do i have to buy vinyl just for a song or Timecode vinyl will work for all?
If you buy djDecks then the cheapest souncard is the Maya 44 USB which is around £60, but then you would need to buy phono preamps (about £30 for a pair)
Bet you couldn't wait to get the buggers out of the boxes, my first set of DJ decks were Numark TT-100's ahh memories, good luck with all your new gear.

just one question.
how much you paided for the rane serato scratch live software ??
BalkanPlayer 3 years ago
The software I am running is called 'djDecks' which does the same job as the Serato software and costs about £25.
DJMattyf 3 years ago
all right thx.
my fault ^^
BalkanPlayer 3 years ago
how much was that?
Fontanilla636 4 years ago
I paided £100 for the Numark Battle Pack off eBay!
DJMattyf 4 years ago
Also. Does the sound come from the turntables or do they come from speakers that you should have?
benjii666666 4 years ago
Yeah you would need speakers. Home Audio/PC speakers will do an okay job, but you might want to invest in some Studio Monitors.
DJMattyf
DJMattyf 4 years ago
Sorry if im being annoying.. But would like.. Guitar Amps work as well? or just seperate speakers?
benjii666666 4 years ago
It would work...but not as well as a studio monitor would do as Guitar amps aren't designed to be used that way!
DJMattyf
DJMattyf 4 years ago
Sorry, but I have a several questions. Please try to answer them all
1. Does this only play with Vinyls, if not, what else?
2. Where can i get good cheap Vinlys?
3. If I didnt have the Behringer, should i just use the Numark vo950 or whatever?
4. Do all the cords come with the battle pack?
5. If not the battle pack, should i get the Behringer?
also
6. I'm not sure how this works, so if you're scratching with this does a song play on one vinyl and you scratch on the other?
Please answer all ty:D
benjii666666 4 years ago
1. The turntables only play vinyl.
2. It depends where you live really. Charity shops and bargain basement places are best.
3. If you don't have the Behringer, then my timecode setup wouldn't work, but if you are just working with vinyl then any mixer will do.
4. Yes, Power, Audio etc.
5. Get whatever brand you want but pref. Pioneer, Technics, Denon etc.
6. I have no idea what you mean... If you want to scratch on top of another song then you would scratch one then play the other normally.
DJMattyf 4 years ago
Yeah that's what i ment for number 6. Thanks =)

can this play mp3 files or cds?: or is it just vinyls??
KoheisVideos 4 years ago
It's a turntable with a stylus and a vinyl shaped base for putting vinyl records on sooo.. Yeah :D
You can use it with Serato (Google it) to intergrate Mp3s and CD (Don't know why you'd bother with CDs) files.

If you bought a soundcard that works with Virtual Vinyl software then yes you can have a Virtual Vinyl setup working on your laptop.
DJMattyf 4 years ago
Does it have a USB to connecet it to the laptop, and how much is the sound card?

If you buy djDecks then the cheapest souncard is the Maya 44 USB which is around £60, but then you would need to buy phono preamps (about £30 for a pair)
