Yea. we are often categorized as Scandinavians, I even saw on a slip from a European duty free some years back that I was registered as a Scandinavian customer .Its kind of confusing, we talk Scandinavia as Norway and Sweden

Altought all icelanders at this moment was freesh setlers on iceland from Norway. This is the period you got setled.

But the offspring of Leif Ericson lives in Iceland today, not norway. Icelanders are decendance of Leif Ericson, not norwegians.
