Some longhaired cats get upset when you try to brush them, but of course if you don't brush them, mats will form and tear the cat's skin. IMO that would be a pretty good reason to give your cat a lion cut, although it might not be 1200killer's. Calvin doesn't seem to mind his haircut either way.
