I'm stunned that this video inspires some people to demand that we talk about evolution. It caused me to ask myself how much I need to be forgiven for.
@jwissick A painting is evidence for a painter. A building is evidence of builders. A computer is evidence for a software designer. You would be a fool to think that a computer chip - with all it's intricate mapping - just came into existence without someone first designing it. You would also be a fool to think that DNA - with all it's intricate mapping- just came into existence without someone first designing it. You yourself Mr./Ms. Atheist, is evidence that God exist's. :]
@jwissick Where did the first RNA magically come from? Trace your parents down to the first Human and hypothetically, if the ape species gave birth to a Human specie... which is IMPOSSIBLE, and NEVER happens.. but in your fairy tale world, Which came first? The male human? or Female Human... Neither of them would have been able to reproduce within the ape specie.. Also, how does a single celled organism reproduce into the now 100+ million species if species CAN ONLY PRODUCE with it's own kind?
@eaglrombie13 Interesting that you would issue such a challenge. I have done exactly that through the National Geographic Genographic Project. I belong to haplogroup K. "Mitochondrial Eve" as we call her, was the only female who had descendants that are now living in the present day. We can all be traced back to that one woman, who lived about 170,000 years ago.
Both male and female humans existed at the same time. THe species barrier is not as black and white as you think.
@jwissick oops... It seems there is a "comment gap" if you will. I'm just NOW being notified about this comment that talks about "Mitochondrial Eve"
The only comment I was responding to was "species are not as black and white as you think" I just opened the website you gave me and that's quite a long read. I'll have to get back to you after I read it :)
Q.) How are you dating this ancestral tracing of 170k years?
to be clear..Male and female evolved at the exact same time is that your position?
@eaglrombie13 I think I see where you are going here and there is a mistake in your thought process if I am correct.
Are you thinking that a male human just popped out of a chimp and then somewhere completely different a female human popped out of another chimp? Or something even remotely similar?
@jwissick wonderful! So can we both come to an agreement that this man's argumentation would completely fall flat on his face and be impossible without those millions and billions of years... correct? IF the world were only 7,000ish years old - what He claimed would be impossible, right? Notice, this is not my definite rebuttal as of yet, rather I'm just asking to come to a mutual agreement :) That comes after our agreement.
@eaglrombie13 Not exactly. It IS possible that there is a god that set the world in motion 5 minutes ago with our pre made memories and holes in our socks and the evidence that points to 4.5 billion year old earth....
@jwissick - God is not deceptive. The evidence points to a young earth. People, on the other hand, are very, very deceptive, particularly when it comes to rejecting God and His Word.
@jwissick Mr. James, there is neither empirical nor historical evidence that is pointing to your hypothetical situation.. so there's no need to raise that argument. My question - to clarify myself- should be redefined to "If the historical and empirical scientific evidence pointed to a 7,000 year old earth, wouldn't that NOT allow the genetic possibility of what you call 'macro evolution'? or at least that the bird is a by product of the tyrannosaurus rex?"
@eaglrombie13 It's highly unlikely, yes. But the evidence doesn't support the notion that the earth is less than a few billion years old, so the point is moot.
@jwissick - No, James. The >>interpretation<< of the evidence by people who want to deny God doesn't support the notion that the earth is less than a few billion years old.
@jwissick No intelligent person argues the non-existence of someone or something. The reason that you argue the non existence of the God of Creation is because you see the evidence and you desire to justify your immorality.
I do not say this because I hate you, I say this because I was once like you and I am concerned for you. But this too you may choose to reject.
@ChristopherakaPaul Then why do people like Todd argue the non-existence of evolution?
DOn't tell me what my reasons are. I know them much better than you.
I argue the non-existence of god because there is no evidence for him AND idiots try try to make public police on what they think god wants.... and that's never a good thing.
@jwissick Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
@jwissick also, before I go off explaining myself, did you want to answer my first question on "where did this first RNA "magically come from"? it's okay if you forgot, i just wanted to hear your response before we forget that piece all together :)
@jwissick - Except in another Wretched video, you argued that species actually were black and white (when groups no longer reproduced with each other).
@eaglrombie1 Just because you don't understand the way the natural world works, doesn't means it's a license to resort to superstitions. Science does explain much already and will continue to explain it further. You will just have to accept that this is not the middle ages anymore.
this brought tears to my eyes...she is a better person then I am.

@eaglrombie13 Hardly. It's called EVOLUTION. The first DNA was actually RNA and was quite simple. Then evolution went forward.
DNA is not designed. It's trial and error. I am not evidence of god... I am evidence of my parents.
Surely you have SOMETHING new?
