I can understand how it appears that way. But a lot of guys there are instructors. They are tough, but also very mature and peaceful. The rest are there because they have actually been the victim of street crime and want to know how to prevent if from happening again. A few just do it as a confidence booster. If you check out my page and website, you'll see that I'm definitely not a knuckle-head!

In terms of physical techniques... not a hell of a lot of difference really. The BCA likes to focus on grappling more than krav. I guess you could say that it's 'better' than a krav seminar in that Geoff has been in over 300 violence confrontations (and 'won'). What he teaches is based on what he ACTUALLY used on the street. I don't know any krav guys who can say that.

The real advantage (for me) is the philosophy from Geoff during the seminar.

So you think the seminar is good because the leader has already fought? How come you trust him in that he shows you his techniques - to me he is just doing normal martial arts training.

BTW: As you know him please tell him that his british dialect makes it very hard to understand him as someone not living on the island.

Has anyone watched this Dvd, watch Peter in action, he would put alot of teenagers to shame fitness wise and he knows his stuff, awesome!

No disrespect to Consterdine, he write a excellent reads but most of his seminars other than his powerslap are more of fitness and coordination drills. As a person who sees from outside the circle, he teaches more for martial fitness rather than combat related.

This is a fair comment as there is a big emphasis on 'explosive' fitness (because the anaerobic stress helps simulates the stress you feel in a violent encounter) but I remember at the UK defence seminar Nov 2006 we spent nearly 3 of the 4 morning hours on the slap, elbow, and body shot - it was knackering but was mainly about drilling the technique. Have you trained with him? - if not get to a seminar if you liked Streetwise.
