@Raecinex ah, yes I have. I remember watching it on ABC at the age of six amf! I also know that it has strong Mormon undertones, especially in the original version. [opening of BSG:TOS is nearly similar to the Book of Mormon.] I was grateful to see that re-envisioned wasn't so religious by nature. The Composition that I wrote about is beautiful, but sad. Maybe being old enough to remember both played for the first time and young enough to still have emotions.

@burnticeblues it's an electric cello. Same with the violins. I believe they're all electric although I'm not sure. Definitely the one that's heard predominantly is electric. It has a similar tonal quality to that of an electric guitar so it makes sense you thought it sounded the same :D

Also, the performances of A Distant Sadness,” “Baltar’s Dream,” “Fight Night,” “Apocalypse,” “Wander My Friends” and “Prelude to War.” (from the same concert) are available on the European version of the BSG Season 4 Bluray.

Hopefully Bear McCreary will release the full concert on DVD and Bluray someday next year :)
