  • bonjour,

    super la vidéo...

j'ai aussi le edge 540 redbull et une gopro 2

j'aimerai juste savoir comment vous avez fixé la camera?

    merci de votre reponse

    Vincent

  • @soundadvice2k u annoy people when u ask stuff thats in the description.

I have a life and i can read.

  • @soundadvice2k How do you know im the only one annoyed?

And yes just for not seeing something.

If u want to know the song name first of all you look in the description, it might say like it does now or he wrote it.

If its not there look at the video, it might say.

If its not there write some lyrics from the song in to google and u will find it.

Im not hating on people but im tired of people that doesnt even search for the song.

And why the fuck do you talk about my mother? how immature are you?

  • how much does this cost for this setup you have here?

  • What FPV equipment are you using?

  • How much video latency is there?

  • @sananeha Never measured, but low enough for me to have no problem stopping a roll flat :D

  • @kilrahvp Can I attach it to any rc plane?

    Thank you

  • this would make it fun to dog fight so cool

  • nice flight

  • u r able to turn the camera and look around?

  • @moocw7889 Yep as you can see, camera movement follows my head movement

  • @kilrahvp oh it follows ur head wen u turn, thats fucking sick, i thought u would turn it with a button or small joy stick...nice vid though, thanks for replying

  • Hey great video, love seeing the FPV use a GoPro as well as a performance plane. I was curious if you had any problems with airflow or controls being sluggish caused by the GoPro. I ask because I recently did some flying with a GoPro and it caused a fair amount of turbulence over the elevator which caused the plane to pitch down and I needed to trim it out. You can see the video on my channel.

  • @asdpyro Hi, thanks! No, no noticeable difference on this particular plane. A friend of mine did have trouble with a Graupner Elektro Trainer S where he taped the GoPro on top of the wing, had to pull the trim to the max to compensate and the plane wasn't flying very well. I'd presume it's because on the Edge the camera ends being mounted quite high and clear of important surfaces that it doesn't disturb... I really like how it flies.

  • U should test how high u can go with it!

  • Wow really nice. I'd love to get one of those..

  • use go pro 3d = win . let me know

  • @RJsileighty A bit too big/heavy for that plane. And it would mean no more rotation too...

  • Still, the best FPV's are coming from choppers. But slow planes work too. Sometimes when i want to see more in less time im searching for jet FPV ;) Nice video.

  • awesome

  • Awesome!!! Rigged up a servo for the gopro?? What a video. Thanks for posting

  • Great Video!!! Flying was awesome and the music was perfect for the action!!! GoPro owes you money !!!!

  • Why are people so fixed on slow boring planes for fpv, there is more to life than going slow and safe, this video is awesome. 5 stars.

What transmitter do you use for the head tracking? I have a JR Dsx9, but I don't think you can do it through the trainer port. Dam.

  • @lowtus7 Thanks! I'm using a Futaba T14MZ. The DSX9 won't work indeed...

  • That's so cool! How do you work the camera so it turns left and right?

  • @xXL3GITAMACYXx1 The camera is mounted on a servo control like the ones that are used for the plane's control. For this flight I used a head tracker, so the camera follows my head movements.

  • so, you took an unstable aerobatic plane, and thought HEY, THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR FPV. why a stunt plane? stunt planes are BAD for fpv.

  • @RCllamadude Oh, are they bad? You should have told me earlier, because I didn't notice ;)

More seriously, it's probably the plane I've had the most fun with in FPV so far. Flies great, forgives quite a bit, speed range is ideal. There's more to FPV than flying a boring Easystar in straight line... that's good for beginners, but then you want something more interesting.

  • @RCllamadude beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  • Very excellent flight skills !!

  • alishanmao take note of this vid ffs lol

  • Fantastic film! Is the enormous antenna needed?

I just ordered the Hero2 and Tx and Rx to build a FPV setup.

  • @charlottendal Which enormous antenna?

  • first-class! how did u get the video signal to your display ? Did you use an additional transmitter or the built in go pro wireless feature. Cheers!

  • @TempleClause1 External transmitter-receiver. The wireless feature doesn't exist yet, i'ts been announced for somewhere at the beginning of 2012. It will also have too short range, less than 100m.

  • Just like the camera angle on red bull races! awsome vid well done!

  • Freakin awesome!!!

  • can you sgare pics of how you mounted it? and also can you share a link of where i could get this plane? great flying skills!

  • @stormranger6 The plane is available in many R/C shops in Europe, but it seems it doesn't exist in most other places, many friends of mine are longing for one...

rc-tech.ch do ship worldwide though. There is a photo of the mounting at the beginning of the video (OK it's not so good, but I can't put links in the comment...)

  • So wait a minute can you record at 720p and fpv the camera at 480p at the same time

  • @skimowhite586 Yes, since Septermber 2010 firmware update you officially can. Before that it needed a trick.

  • @kilrahvp cool thanks

  • I heard the gopro has some lag on video output, so it is not perfect for fpv. Did you notice lag in steering the plane?

  • @SammYLightfooD Hi, no I never noticed any lag on the GoPro's video output... and I've used more than one. I've never understood those who mention this, must come from something else in their equipment...

  • Cool video. I think i can use my go pro for fpv, it has new firmware.

  • @alishanmao hey its you :D

  • are you using fatsharks?

    This is so cool.

  • well done, shes fast..

  • super video bravo

  • very cool if you mute it... just sayin...

  • great video!

  • redbull it gives you wings

  • This is so dope! Can you link the setup some how. I really want to do this. I have 2 4s 2650 mah that might work for somthing like this and. 5000 on the way.

    Thanks

  • very good

  • HEY! You´r the MAN!!!

  • Wow, that is really cool! How high up did it go, you think?

  • @meganite03 Only about 100m, but the extreme wide angle makes it look higher...

  • @kilrahvp I was gonna say... but still, 100m is pretty high!

  • Chuck....is that you

  • How does the fpv gopro setup work? I really want this for my plane. I have the goprohd already. Just would like to see whats going on while i'm flying.

  • @itakeyouthere Well, you simply need to connect any common FPV video transmitter to the gopro's TV output. Note you need to upgrade your gopro firmware to the latest. My setup is a little special as the transmitter is integrated in the camera body, and I had to put a bit of electronics in order to enable the TV output during recording because that new firmware wasn't out yet at the time.

  • Cool stuff...

  • Hey, so does it send the HD live data to your viewer?

    cheers!

  • @featheredmusic No, the live feed is SD.

  • @kilrahvp would have been great if you didnt have to look up and lose sight of it. wish it was a live feed and u could watch it on a screen and not have to lose sight of it.

  • @TheGefro It IS a live feed. We usually view the image in video goggles as it's much more immersive and comfortable than a screen, but the screen is of course possible too.

  • @kilrahvp wow thats amazeing i used to dream about a mote control car that was wireless when i was kid! haha now they have this kind of stuff! me and my dad are building a huge plane. if you want to know the name message me back

  • Looks like a tiny predator drone. Very nice.

  • awesome idea with the panning ability... makes it look like a POV from someone inside the craft

  • @nataatma It's the whole idea, the pilot wears video glasses, sees the live image, and camera pan is controlled by his head movements

  • asolutely super video mate great stuff.

  • Do you simply use the live out feature on the go pro? I thought it was too laggy and therefore never tried it...

  • @mauersegler79 Yes, works perfectly well. Framerate is maybe a tad lower but it doesn't disturb me.

At the time I made that video the Gopro didn't yet offer the live out feature so it required some hacking to get it working.

  • What transmitter that you use for this? More info please. I'm currently building the same thing :D

  • @tomiwijaya9 The little 10mW 2.4GHz one available on the rc-tech website.

  • @kilrahvp with that small amount of power, how long is the distance that the transmitter can reach? Maybe you can tell me how long is the distance that you went through in this vid? I read in the website that it can reach 500 m. it's simply hard to believe with that small amount of power. hahhaha

  • @tomiwijaya9 Well I always fly with a 8dBi patch, but regularly go up to 1km. You just need not to fly too close to the ground when doing it, and of course be in an interference free location. This last point is the most common problem nowadays. My record with 10mW is 2.8km distance.. OK, that was with a very good RX antenna, but still ;)

  • Awesome!

  • great video!

.. whats the name of the song???!

  • @bloodlinkcru

    In your Eyes - Shakra

  • amazing video

  • Did anybody notice that the song is by Shakra not Shakira but how close they look yet how different they sound?

Anyway time to medicate with more marijuana here in Cali.

  • Great Video 10/10 the GoPro FPV is it mounted on a servo? Also to stop vibration did you use foam? fantastic work keep the videos coming in ;)

  • @stan230 Yes, the servo is a GWS Park HPX. No particular vibration proofing, the key is to make sure there aren't any in the first place, i.e balance propeller.

  • This is one of the coolest FPV videos I've seen so far! Makes me want to try it some day.

  • this is so awesome!!! and so ****ings cool plane :D

  • are you viewing thru GoPro or another cam onto your goggles?

  • @CrystalThe30 Viewing from the GoPro, as you can see at 00:30

  • Quality is great but it is too bulky to use as an FPV camera on RC planes

  • @LTF85199 Well, isn't that video actually showing the opposite? Unnoticeable in flight on a 1.2kg plane...

  • @kilrahvp I guess for most people it is alright, but for picky people who care about undisturbed airflow, like myself , it is an annoyance.

  • @LTF85199 If there's no noticeable difference, it the disturbance is negligible... stop being too picky for no reason ;)

  • @kilrahvp it is for professional engineering purposes.. (scale testing).. hence it matters

  • Song in description!

  • O no its not evin a glow engin supose the fule would maket into napam.

  • Hae this is poley ae? is it small?

  • Truly awesome!

  • нет слов, всё просто супер

  • Awesome! I'm waiting for my GoProHD to arrive, and will post videos as soon as I get time. Keep the Videos coming:)

  • NOT FAIR!! I WANT ONE!!!

Damn that looks good... looks like I will have to sell the wife afterall!!

  • How much was this plane?

  • which transmitter are you using?

  • @flickgomes 2.4GHz/10mW.

  • Awesome flying (great stick skills!) and great video. I was trying to figure out what camera to use for my first FPV setup, and I'm going with the GoPro! Thanks!

  • So this is wireless video? can you see it on a monitor were you fly ? :O

  • @zhred The live image is displayed in a set of video goggles for FPV flying!

  • @kilrahvp Woaw thats cool! can you send me some link where i can buy that kind of thing or a similar? :)

  • @zhred The wireless version is in development, will be available at rc-tech . ch.

  • Very cool ..

  • sickness...where can i get some more info on the new gopro firmware.

  • @sshukri0 On the gopro site, it's just been released last week.

  • @IEATSRT There's no receiver with it. Flies really good, however I've only flown it FPV, so can't really comment on what you're looking for.

  • Very good! The camera is excellent, and the best model airplane.

  • Go pro HD firmware release is near!

  • @gc9n That's what they've been saying since May! I'll only believe it when I have it. Some of the features that were announced at launch 10 months ago still aren't present...

  • Belle video!

  • you can use the record time as your flight time

  • woooooow!!!!1 cool! video

  • How did you integrate the TX into the GoPro ?

  • @wizprod With a lot of complex work.. especially to get the video out to activate without USB. Requires a microcontroller and DC/DC converter.

  • Salut Kilrah,

Super vol, merci pour la balade !

    A+

    JiP

  • Awesome video!!!!!!!!!!!!!
