  • im half indian-hindu and this is some arabic and indian!:) to me it sounds like belly dancing music:))

  • Well... they DEFINITELY DIDN'T do their research on Bollywood before filming an entire scene on it, did they?

  • im indian!

  • This song and dance is an insult to Bollywood. Period.

  • @pinklemons360 so true

  • lol i can't understand wat this dude is saying esast cargo or sumthin lolza juba dau wats he saying omg :(:(:(

  • @toxicchick1234 do u speak hindi its in hindi u turd

  • i like this song

  • that cool

  • I love it when Hollywood attempts to do Bolywood..but this isnt bollywood at all! Its more Middle Eastern with a small amount of Punjabi.

  • this is not bollywood. get your stuff right hollywood!

  • My eyes hurt after watching this..is it like a mock version or are these people serious???

  • my fav seen but the grahpics could have been a hole lot better

  • they could have done better but its okay

  • what do the words mean?

  • This is so white

  • @crazygreen89 you are so racist and you know it. not trying to be rude or anything but you shouldnt say that sort of stuff

  • EXCUSE ME BUT MADISON MCMILLEN IS FROM MY SMALL TOWN IN NEW ALBANY!!!!!!!!I KNOW HER!!!!!!!!!

  • oh god i can't even pretend that this is ok. i wouldve have been ok with it if it was even just a little bit accurate. its like abc family couldn't even take a few hours out of their day to watch ONE freaking bollywood movie

  • @sisterwitches Actually, ABC Family didn't make this movie, they just showed it on TV, it was made by Warner Brothers, who have made all the other Cinderella Story movies. But, yeah, it's not at ALL Bollywood, it's just Americanized.

  • This is an American movie?

  • Whats this sonng called?

  • This song is way different from it's original version

  • I love how people are complaining about the veils when none of the extras/dancers are wearing any. The only people seen wearing a veil is Lucy Hale, the main dancer chick, Megan Park, and I *think* Missi Pyle. And while yes they are all the female leads the only person who keeps her veil on is Lucy (due to obvious plot reasons), the rest take them off.

  • The movie was pretty good

  • I really liked this movie and this scene

  • Of course they'e going to Americanize the Bollywood, but as far as it goes, it's kinda cute. I mean, it's waaay over the top, and not at all accurate, but it's at least adequate. It looks like fun to make anyway. The movie was cute, just like all the others. In my opinion, I don't think they're terrible, they're just cute. lol

  • @callmekaiden i so agree with u! im indian and i was like what the hell at first and then i was like that would look so cool if we did that at my school

  • @Alfredjesseca right? lol

  • I think a few dance lessons are in order...

  • The song sucks! Atleast put a bollywood song besides making one. It doesnt even sound BOllywoodish. The dance did not do justice either. I think the only thing Indian/Bollywood about it was the Guy's outfits!

  • WTF nobody dances like that... this is the worst thing i have ever seen.. please excuse me while i barf in a closet... -.-

  • haha omg she like pushed her head

  • This movie was just bad... just bad...

  • Intersting

  • TITUS MAKIN JR FORM GLEE IS IN THIS PART!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think the Bollywood scene wasn't neccesary and it was just plain wierd....

  • I would love to go to a party like that and do some REAL Indian dance it would be SOO fun :)

  • LMAO. This scene was hilarious thoughh wouldn't it be awesome to have a ball like that, dress up like and just dance..? :)

  • song Manu Narayan - Oh Mere Dilruba

  • I love this movie and the girl that says it smells like cinammon is Madison from One Directions video What Makes You Beautiful and she is on a video from Cody Simpson too!

  • they could have used better song better music and better dance!

  • everything is tremendously inaccurate but I'll let it slide since it's probably a low-budget film :P

  • the costume designer and dace choreographer for this movie are so confused! lol. I find this slightly offensive but funny

  • I laughed so hard at 0:15

  • Oh I'm not embarrassed about loving india and it's movies Im pretty upfront with people about it but this video is just... Bad I mean it does not have hardly any indian culture that makes the movies awesome and it's bad in general u can't tell who the main people are the type of culture they are trying to portray looks like Arabian/ Hindi/ American it's foggy confusing and bad I mean I'm just being bold I don't want to offend anyone so no one take it personally :)

  • Haha not me loving indian cinema the video Haha I'm not an ounce embarrassed about my love for India but this video... Is just bad haha

  • I'm an American but I looove Indian movies and culture and that is pretty embarrassing if you ask me :/

  • My Favorite Scene from the movie AFTER the Make you believe performance!

  • Madison Mcmillin? :O

  • Hahahhahhah lol creapy 0:44

  • This is a mixture of 30% Punjabi,30% arabic,30% moroccan, 10% bollywood!

  • @karabasaraba Don't forget about the other 100%...American.

  • @karabasaraba im arabic and this is NOT arabic dance :D

  • @karabasaraba lmfao so true. But it's kinda annoying. - They're dance moves aren't that good too. :P They shoulda stuck to pure punjabi, that would have been better.

  • @karabasaraba no one cares i don't think that anyone should care what type of music it is its about the dance and how the music makes you feel

  • Oh my god, this is so NOT Bollywood. If anything, I would say this was more an American's misconception of Arabia.

  • @dingleberrychinkle1 IKR!!! Being an Indian I would say the same. Its so.......WHITE

  • @dingleberrychinkle1 well budy im arabian and im telling you that there is NOTHING arabian in this song

  • wow you two are so childish...

  • So creepy at 0:44 !!

  • what in the world is this, the dance was f9 and so was the tune but the words and singer is awful. this is a bad example of indian music

  • i was born with indian movies my all life n they do not dance like this it looks so stupid

  • @shilanim seriously maan this so damn stupid..they have made a baingan ka bharta out of it ..and the song is nothing as compared to other bollywood songs.. they can never copy us on the other we can very well..

  • @shilanim too bad 'cause I like it

  • LOL really hope that one day a friend needs me to distract someone by having a danceoff!

  • where can i find this song???? i really need it like really reallyyyy need it or maybe even the name of the acuall song

  • @a3a1iy It's on the soundtrack :)

  • @SuperFeeling oh thanks :)

  • I've only watched clips of this movie, and now I am sooo confused. And where does she keep magically appearing from?

  • this made me get up and dance lol

  • At 0:30 the guy and our right in the goody yellow and the feaky smile is a smidggee creepy

  • Did they realize that India is not a Muslim country and there was absolutely no reason to have the veils at all? This is much more middle-eastern than Bollywood. I don't think the filmmakers knew what 'Bollywood' was.

  • @MinotiMusic dude i know...its embarrasing.

  • Comment removed

  • @MsSilentCritic

Bollywood is not just about India, it's far more diverse than that. Middle East is also included in the Bollywood style.

  • @MinotiMusic

Did you realize that Middle East is also included in the Bollywood style? I don't think you know what Bollywood is either. Bollywood is far more than JUST India, it may be the majority, but not only India.

  • @AaronYLeung I think you need to look up the meaning of the word "Bollywood". - "Bollywood is the informal term popularly used for the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), Maharashtra, India.". It's called Bollywood because it's the Film industry from BOMBAY, India.

The middle east has nothing to do with Bollywood. It's a different kind of music/industry all together.

  • @MinotiMusic

I'm wasn't disagreeing with you in the aspects of it being in India. I was saying, so what if it has a middle eastern feel to it. It has nothing to do with being Muslim. My Indian friend, who's watched a ton of Indian films back then and now, says this is no problem. It may be a little white-washed, but India is diverse now. They had the same Bollywood theme with the "veils", in SoYouThinkYouCanDance and a lot of dance shows. I, myself, have seen my fair share of bollywood films.

  • @AaronYLeung Well, I've lived in India almost all my life and SoYouThinkYouCanDance is not an accurate representation of Bollywood. As someone who grew up in Mumbai, I can assure you, the segment in this movie has nothing to do with Bollywood. Veils are not used in Bollywood. I think if they wanted to use the veils, they should have just said it's an "Arabian Nights" themed dance. Coz that would have been accurate. But Bollywood? Completely inaccurate.

  • @MinotiMusic

Before I go further, I just want to say, I'm not trying to be mean. It's nice to have a discussion with other people so we can learn new things. Sorry in advance, if I did offend you in anyway. I definitely did not mean to. =]

Okay back to this topic, I DO see your point. Like I said, this might not be an accurate representation of Bollywood, but this is pretty much American Bollywood movies are. Bollywood movies may not use veils, but doesn't mean Indian people don't use veils.

  • @AaronYLeung I'm not arguing either. It's definitely more of a discussion than an argument. :)

Indian people don't actually wear veils unless they're Muslim or unless it's a villager in a small village who wears their scarf over their head and will sometimes hold it over their face.

I'm also someone who is a Film/TV major, and I just feel like if you're going to make a movie, you must do some research first. If the filmmakers did their research, they would have realized this was inaccurate.

  • @MinotiMusic

    That's true. I'm also a film/tv major myself. haha

Hmm...I have an Indian friend here in America, who has parents who wear veils at home, especially the grandparents.

I also have a Muslim friend too so, I definitely know what you're talking about with the veils, except those aren't it. Don't Muslims have a specific headscarf and wear it a specific way? I don't think veils necessarily mean their Muslim, unless it's a hijab (sp?).

  • @AaronYLeung With regards to ur Indian friend, I've never heard of anyone wearing veils at home unless they're conservative Muslim. So I find that strange. Also, in India, the garment that Muslims wear is called a burkhaa. It's called different things in different countries. However, India is predominantly Hindu. So most people don't cover their faces at all.

  • @MinotiMusic

I'm not necessarily saying this is the typical Bollywood dance scene, but this it's not NOT a Bollywood scene either. By saying the producers did not know what Bollywood was makes you sound ignorant. You have to remember this is not INDIA, They aren't going to produce a genuine Indian Bollywood scene, they will have it a bit Americanized staying true to some Bollywood roots and giving you the "feel" of it being Bollywood. There's a lot of American -Bollywood movies.

  • Did you guys know that "meatball" is singing this song :D
