  • Awsome technique, very powerful very fluid I like the syncopations that are in the kata.

  • let the haters hate. that is an awesome form with good flow. good job

  • I like the form, I can see its application which in this day and age of "competition forms" is refreshing. The only thing I would say is slow it down and make sure your completing every technique, especially those back kicks. Remeber its not about speed, its about proficiency...or at least thats my opinion.

  • man just learn some kali and be done with it all that shit is so over dramatically useless "THIS IS NOT AN INSULT!!!!!!!!"

  • @xablaze This is an incorporation of escrima sticks into kenpo techniques made into a kata. The primary focus is Kenpo and this is something extra. How is this over dramatically useless? It trains the hand and body to be able to take what we already know and extend it. That's actually very useful

  • @houseofKenpoKarate, I see exactly what xblaze is talking about. I do kenpo AND eskrima and it looks to me like you r just flailing around in an "H pattern." I can see where you've transposed kenpo technique into your double stick set, but it that paradigm the stick is not training the hand, you're attempting to apply empty hand technique where there really is no applications. It reminds me of footage of Mxx Pallen and his son doing the Kaju Pinians with double stick and espada y daga.

  • @sigeskrima - to continue: It's not my intention to insult you, so please don't get angry at my observations. The footage of the Pallens doing the Pinians with weapons was awful, just awful. It was an attempt at being creative that just made them look dumb. It was a novel idea, but poorly executed. I think what xblaze is saying is that if you take the time to cross-train in FMA you will have a better understanding of the weapons you're using and that will in turn make for a better kata.

  • @xablaze I agree.

  • Nice usage of the kenpo techniques i saw many familar ones

  • @kenpoest1 surely is familiar, because kenpo is just copying escrima/arnis. BTW kenpo stick drills look cheap imitations.

  • Not bad, but not looking on back kick is useless.

  • if you enjoy kali and escrima/eskrima look up pekiti-tirsia

  • Corey, you've improved so well since this video! You are going to do so well in the tournament, you and Darian!
