@Supportahol You're asking an age old question that's never going to be satisfactorily answered. Some men have beating on women forever, and unfortunately, women are starting to beat on men more and more in recent years.  Not OK for any rational adult of any gender to behave, especially toward someone they care about. Anyway, I'd guess Ike's massive cocaine problem didn't help matters much. That said, they were a great act, though clearly Tina was the mealticket.

That was their lives. No one has the right to insult one for the way he or she lives in his or her family. It takes two always to make a quarrel. Tina might have been an angel privately with her husband or also not. we see always what little episode of the whole live of a people and we always like to jump into conclussion mainly from our own subconscious experience and not always the reality. Ike is dead, May his soul rest in peace and Tina is still alive. Thank God for that.

Once a friend does not mean one should condone how Ike treated Tina. He was an insecure man who could not stand that Tina was so great. It was she that put them on top and that is how he thanked her ! Glad she is free from him once and for all and her success shows her deep inner character. Ike's children always loved her because she took care of them as well as hers.
