  • why doesn't he have his finger on carotid when he is auscultating?

  • @darthpigeon04 You can use the radial pulse as well

  • Great Vid, really helped me but I can't seem to get over the unironed labcoat.. I went for an exam once looking like that(what can I say? Sleep deprivation) & the examiner was more concerned about my lab coat than He was about my diagnosis... lol...

  • Good effort though i think there were some major flaws such as assessing AAA. if the pt had a AAA, from your assessment, you may potentially have exacerbated it. maybe you should palpate, very lightly, from the edges of Rec. Abd. and move medially. Also, when assessing for hepato- and spleeno-megaly, get pt to bends legs so as to minimise tension from abd muscles. only a couple of suggestions from many ;p

  • I love how the patient is barefoot! so hot

  • the vid was really helpful

  • First of all, whenever if u do a pulse count for a span of 15 mins, the rate is in mutiple of 4.

secondly, when u see it, its called apex impulse and not apex beat.

    anyways nice effort!

  • 15mins? =P

  • @mukulsehgal You meant 15 secs i suppose. I guess you can do it for 6 secs with rate multiple of 10. Thanks

  • @Rajaaaaa2009 Doing it for 6 secs is not reliable. The guidelines suggest 15 secs and multiply by 4, That's enough. Or you can still count the 60 secs.

  • tanx

  • how can u tell the rate of the pulse when u arent wearin a watch? lol just kiddin the vid was really helpful :)
