  • Fantastic!

  • Love her and her performance!

  • Simplemente expectacular !!!

  • 22 people need to stand the fuck back

  • @thelurker25 lol yep!

  • I wonder who the keyboard player was.He looks like Dr.Fink from Prince's Revolution Band.Kinda funny, since Stevie said the synth part was originally composed by Prince himself.

  • @1ssjesus If you are talking about this live video, that is Jai Winding. He did tours with The Jacksons (Victory Tour!), Madonna (several world tours - from 1987-1993!), Don Henley, and Dave Mason.

  • That male dancer was ridiculous...

  • At least she still has her voice. Most that do drugs, thats' the first thing that goes.

  • i dont know if she was high but she fuckin brought it

  • Ain't no place like Red Rocks Amphitheater (Colorado) for a night concert ... and this was one of the greatest I've ever been to. Stevie rocked the place!

  • Epic!

  • She's the best

  • Look at Mick with his bongo, straining for relevancy. Kinda sad.

  • @LoneWierdo I was responding to someone else who said she looked high as a kite. I never said that...

  • I'd like to know who the 22 morons were who disliked this.

  • I love Stevie and this song and also I have noticed how HOT Sharon Celani looks - Actually she does have such a beautiful voice - Could go solo with that voice & her looks!!

  • Stevie Nicks is my power animal,

  • YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE!!! AND NO STEVIE WAS NOT HIGH, MAYBE ON ROCKY MTN HIGHI WAS THERE IN 86 AND WILL BE BACK 8/9/11

  • check out 4:01 - 4:08 ... what the hell is going on with Stevie? and 3:13 - 3:16 : You hear her voice but she isn't singing in this part of the video...?

  • @thelurker25

If you had a clue about Stevie's live performances you would know that is her backing singers at 3.16.

Lori's voice is actually higher than Stevie;s, there again, if you knew anything about her solo performing you would know that too!

  • @thelurker25 i always wondered that as well-it's like they froze that frame for some reason. i long for the day when the unedited version of this show surfaces. somebody out there has it!

  • hmm...i wanna to see a Stevie and Robert Plant duet... :)

  • A PURE "ROCK N' ROLL QUEEN" ...forever in my memory STEVIE NICKS!!!!!

  • This is a great performance but would've been even better is if they had included that funky rhythm guitar that was in the studio version. That w as one of the best parts of the song.

  • Inspired no doubt by Janis - What a great performer and artist!

  • the back up girl closest to her sounds like the album girl.

  • @oldschoolhunter Sharon Celani and Lori Perry did indeed do the backing vocals for this on the album.

  • If I could choose my neighbour, i would like Stevie to be mine.... LOVE YOU!!

  • incredible song - Incredible performance - nothing compares to the 80's songs

  • One of her best Stand Back performances! I keep coming back here, btw :D

  • She's cool, that's why I like her. :)

  • often imitated, never even close, this is THE Goddess of Music.....bar none, all hail the beautiful, wonderous Ms. Stevie Nicks!.....sit back and listen, be amazed as we all were way back when, her contributions to the world music scene are countless, even in the darkest hours her aura captivated, beyond any other, as it remains, may we never forget, may the next generations seek and be inspired by her music. Hats off to her, how she touches everyone across the genre's without effort, amazing

  • @THEMASTEROFYOU2000 Very good analogy of this most talented female of the twentieth century and beyond, her contributions to modern rock is unsurpassed and the bar has been raised very high, few if any, can measure up!

  • I F"N love this WOMAN

  • The eighties sucked. But the few things that were good....WERE FUCKING AMAZING

  • STEVIEEEEEEE I LOVE UUUUUUUUU

  • thumbs up if little red corvette brought you here

  • 21 people did not like this video? WT? Like others have stated, Stevie had a style that was all hers. To me, she was an originial. Thanks for posting this concert footage...awesome.

  • powerfull video and POWERFULL SONG of all times....she is one of the best rock stars ...and 21 people dislikes this ....shame for those people

  • how true...best powerfull song ever..inspiring words ,thanks stevie for the boost......

  • I phoned Prince out of the blue, hummed a melody, and he listened," says Nicks "I hung up, and he came over within the hour. He listened again, and walked over to the synthesizers that were set up, was absolutely brilliant for about twenty five minutes, and then left. He was so uncanny, so wild, he spoiled me for every band I've ever had because nobody can exactly re-create - not even with two piano players-what Prince did all by his self.

~Stevie Nicks, Rock Lives, by Timothy White,1991

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • @SELFproclaimedVIRGIN Relevancy?

  • @Betcsbirds howard stern show to get ..on it

  • oh my ! steve @ 2 45 looks like nancy grace ! or is it the other way around ! LOL

  • >>no one looked as I walked by,

just an invitation would have been just fine<<

(not in a million years sister of mine)

for you 21st century Guitar Heroes standing in front of your LCD - no sympathy

you cant rock like that with a numb soft-palate

so blow back on your total internal reflection.

  • 21 poeople never been high as a kite!

  • much better!!!!!!!!!!!11111

  • Stevie Rules!!!!! I don't care what anybody says. And she will keep on rocking.

  • Stevie Rules!!!!!

  • Haters and couch potato critics love to throw rocks at the GREATS!!! Stevie rocks!!!

  • POWERFUL!!!!

  • where do i get this version?

  • Apparently she was as high as a kite when this was filmed. The up close shots of her face were added in later to hide that fact.

  • @mutigerlp Ok I'm not getting this? She was high as a kite so they added close shots of her face to hide that fact? Ahhh okayyy now. I think someone else may be just alittle higher than Stevie...

  • @FireitupBedford Stevie did do a lot of blow in the 70s-80s. She rehab'd in 1986 at Betty Ford then got hooked on Klonopin. She got clean off that with a 90-day rehab. She promotes no one taking Klonopin for any reason. Rumors were her nose was also repaired due to the coke addiction. She said the drugs in the band really hurt Fleetwood Mac the band more than anything else. Mick Fleetwood also said drugs and alcohol was a big problem. He's a recovering alcoholic.

  • @supergirl2025 who didnt do alot of blow in the 70's and 80's?In all seriousness though, she looks better today then she ever has!

  • Go Stevie, go!!

  • I Love The Intro.......!!!!!

    Great Version

  • The intro is waaaaay to long.Still love her though.

  • Stevie Nicks is a goddess

  • ive just seen an episode from south park and i have to say after seeing this video ms niks sounds just like an goat hahahahahahaha o yeah and im hy right now :))

  • im looking at all the diff versions of this song and trying to find the best guitar solo....so far its the standback / landslide clip from elen tv show

    any suggestions?

  • Stevie Nicks is the standard by which all other female rock singers are measured.

  • Nice performance. Love the wild coked up eyes and the freaky dancing, lol

  • @cockywatchman1976 She was clean here wasnt she?

  • @ryson1969 Nah, don't think so. Even if she was off coke, she was addicted to Benzos for many years after. Not judging her, I think shes great. Just stating the facts!

  • @cockywatchman1976 man u just hatin cuz u couldnt carry a tune in a bucket!

  • @cockywatchman1976 u prob on more than she ever was

  • @redbabygirl0713 Yeah you are right-I have a millionaire cocaine based lifestyle, I do more than Stevie-WHAT A FUCKIN PRICK, WHY DO NOBS LIKE YOU ALWAYS CONVERGE ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ryson1969 Yes she was clean of coke, she went into rehab in 1986..this was done in 87.....but she was on tranquilizers

  • i didnt know mick was on drums

  • What concert was this? can i get this on VHS or DVD? This is REALLYYY good! WOW!

  • Stevie Nicks is absolutely ~UNBELIEVABLE~ Absolutely LOVE Fleetwood Mac and I'm one of the lucky ones that have seen them in concert!!!!

  • @dbritton41 VERY lucky. I wish i could get this on VHS or DVD!

  • @Declipse16 @Declipse16 you can...:) this was at the tango tour with fleetwood mac in 1987.. they won't let me post the link here on youtube just google fleetwood mac stevie nicks stand back tango tour dvd.. you shall find it.

  • @dbritton41 i have tango tour on dvd and this is actually the rock a little tour, live at red rocks, i also just got this on dvd. do you know if i can get the wild heart tour and bella donna tour on vhs or dvd?

  • @Declipse16 Do you know what year this was? Thanks.

  • @ryson1969 This was 1986. Live At Red Rocks

  • @Declipse16 Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night (1987)

  • Best sythesizer riff ever

  • @NielsShoe

The synthesizer riff was (co)written by Prince at the request of Stevie Nicks. See the Wikipedia entry on Stand Back.

    Prince's synth's with Stevie's voice = fantastic!

  • @NielsShoe Courtesy of Prince!

  • Some of these commenters are too damn young...they focus on all the wrong things. Seriously though, I need to get Stevie's greatest hits!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! this is indeed so much better than the album version. Thanks for sharing!

  • In my opinion, this version is far superior to the CD version. Just a phenomenal rendition of Stand Back.

  • I agree, the production on the album in general is pretty boring for a 1983 record

  • Get out your notebook Taylor Swift, this is what a true hit song sounds like from a super talented legend that will be rockin' and rollin' when your are just a distant memory!!

  • super

  • are you sure this is from 2006?

  • @smartbarbiemtl nooooo..1986 :)

  • to MIKESOWELL: That is Mick Fleetwood (drummer). He always has some sweet facial expressions when he plays. Check out his stuff. He's a stud. Sweet little bongo solo at the beginning too. =) Good jam.

  • @ongawesgone no offense but she wouldn't expect her singers to keep up with her, its not a race. They came in vocally to help her carry the high note. Stevie herself has said how much her voice was affected on the Rock A Little tour from the cocaine abuse, and I agree with you about Taylor Swift she should have stayed home that night. and @MIKESOWELL Mick Fleetwood is the guy at 5:47 with that peculiar look on his face. He's a strange character. So his behavior was usually strange.

  • THE JAM!!!

  • What's up with dude's facial expression at 5:47? LOL.....

  • An amazing live version

  • I love the note she carries at 6:24. Think it's humorous that her backup singers try to keep up. Not that they aren't good singers too, but, no one can match Stevie. Taylor Swift butchered Rhiannon when she "sang" with Stevie on an awards show or whatever it was.

  • @ongawesgone That note is this song at its height.....

  • I love this woman .

  • Is that Mick Fleetwood playing around with a conga drum in the back?

  • There really is no one like Stevie... and the good world thanks us for that!

  • LOVE HER!!! she is amazing!

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmaravilhosoooooooooo

  • 17 dislikes? dear god, those bastards don't have freaking ears!!! no one has voice like stevie's. NO ONE, sorry love. how awesome she looks when she walks around the stage and her witchy dress dance around to the beat!!!

  • @ChrissieBana They are dedicating "Likes" to Justin bieber or whatever i should write his name like... this is an ultimate version for her best song ever !

    Nicks rules !

  • love this version. search for stevie nicks, 'everybody loves you' the new record is going to be amazing.

  • This is for @innamorata40. Stevie Nicks has been rockin people with that voice for decades!!!!! I'm so honored to be in the presence of a Sober Vocal Coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If you think Stevie Nicks can't sing that well, why are you listening to her? As far as not drinking, everyone has their falts and demons in their lives. It must be wonderful to be so perfect!!!! Myself, I think you need a few drinks, etc. Keep Rockin Stevie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i usually can't stand eighties music (i prefer the seventies, the eighties most of the time come off as too tacky and techno) but everything stevie nicks touches turns too gold, including dust.

  • live at Red Rocks This concert rocks. Stevie was rocking that night. Get this on video one the best videos ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome version - best I've heard!

  • Normally a synthed-out keyboard sound is annoying, but it's just friggin' perfect in this song.

  • stevie rocks!!!!!!!

  • I could listen to - and watch - this all day. Stevie is so amazing.

  • Amazing arrangement live, much better than the studio version!!

  • Stevie Nicks is an American original with her signature sound, vocals, style, and legendary stage performance, she still can rock and roll like no other!

  • miss fleetwood mac times

  • how can anybody NOT like this?

  • Stevie is more than welcome to sing me to sleep anytime..

  • Prince only came up with the synthesizer riff Stevie wrote the rest.

  • gaga wanabe

  • @The3rdHiltonSister Would the troll like to be fed?

    :)

  • @mscubana I think that she's trying to feed us a bunch of sheet!

  • @The3rdHiltonSister Some people are so ignorant that they have no taste in music. Stevie is the Queen. gagg is the scullery maid.

  • Prince did write most of this song. Though Stevie is a poet and a legend in the business, she really isn't that great of a singer. Though my dear friend would kill me if she had seen this post.

  • @innamorata40 You must not be sober. Nicks has one of the all-time great voices.

  • @bull864 Stevie is by far a great artist, poet, etc... But not a great singer. Technically, the womans vibrato, pitch, range and tone are shot. If you asked any vocal coach, I'm sure they would agree. No, Stevie doesn't have a GREAT voice. Two women in Rock who do are Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar. Talk about range, pitch and tone. These two women are GREAT singers!

  • @innamorata40 What is remarkable about Stevie Nicks is her Originality, unique vocal vibrato, and signature sound, that has keep her at the top of the music charts for decades. Great singers come and go...Stevie Nicks is a legend and will be around for many more decades to come!

  • @kd5hms63 Stevie is a legend, never said she wasn't. She's a great poet/writer as well, but not a great singer. She lacks power, range, vibrato, tone, pitch and clarity. Any professional vocal coach would agree. I've seen many women in rock, live. (Stevie and Fleetwood Mac,12 times) She is a average singer, not a GREAT singer.....Your speaking from your opinion, I'm speaking technically!! - Period!!!

  • @innamorata40 Don't get all upset, I am not the President, I am just stating my opinion...this is called comments, I made it freely ...live with it whether you agree or not.

  • @kd5hms63 "Kept her at the top of the music charts?" She hasn't had a hit in twenty years (20). And if she (Fleetwood Mac) charted, it was a greatest hits. And that it!!!!!! Please...Kept HER at the TOP of the charts. What a joke!!

  • @innamorata40 As far as MY charts, she is number one!

  • @bull864 Oh, BTW - I don't drink. From what Stevie went through in life, it's just reinforces my choice!

  • @bull864 - She sounds like a goat eating on the farm!!!!

  • @innamorata40 Why are you listening? Go listen to your favorite artists that use autotune and LAY OFF THE DRUGS!!

  • @innamorata40 That is one rich 'goat' as you called her, I think her vocals are as recognizable as the clouds in the sky..her fat bank account is a testament to her talent.

  • I LOVE THAT WOMAN.

  • a druggy hot mess.

  • She was super high after that tour was over ral tour she went to betty ford rehab and this was back in 1986. I have this dvd in spite of her being on drugs then I love her over all performance........ She signed the dvd a few years back and I cased it and put in my safe

  • @deedeesnicks It took her about 40 days to get off those damn klonipins! She has guts.I respect the crap out of her. Love that woman!.

  • Stevie Nicks rules..

  • @TheElronda - Rules the Rehab facilitys! lol

  • man u have to love stevie

  • This fuckin' rocks . . . this is great!

  • she might be a fox, but she still sounds like a goat when she sings

  • @urinalcake27 - Completely agree!

  • Prince wrote this song!!!!

  • @Popeyedrums He did the synth part but Stevie wrote it

  • Lord did I love this song way back when. Brings back awesome memories.

  • Back in the day when musicians pluged their instruments in now people pay loads of money to watch artists Karaoke their own songs.

  • what a big little woman ......she is so great ...stevie i love you

  • who are the back-up singers for this song and what year was this?

  • Jesus, start the song already.

  • you must be joking, that intro was great, that's what live music is all about!

  • back when people at concerts had fun.

  • I an see you Mick!

Steive and Mick share one stage --- can't get any better!

  • love a women in a dress,stevie rocks....

  • Don't get me wrong, I luvs me some Stevie... But, I can't believe how sloppy this video is... Look @3:15.... "Stand back, stand back..." She's not even moving her mouth.... I'm glad those days are behind her....

  • they edited the close ups later. she was looking a bit

rough when they filmed it so they let her re do the close ups

later to make her look better.

  • makes me want to do aerobics :)

  • I so want the synth patch

  • LOVE HER!

  • Classic Stevie Nicks!

  • Why do I prefer the old stuff...now she could sing. Proper rock chic, not like the rubbish you get these days!

  • I love you Stevie!

  • epic

  • nice video

  • What a beautiful singer, excellent song, brings me right back to the 80's..... fantastic!

  • Great version. The best i've heard. Very raw. I love the sound of the gibson guitar,

the chords, the slide. Major blast from the past.
