WOW!!!!!!!! This is the best spread i have seen yet on you tube where did u get the cam and do u think i could use it on N scale very sweet wish you were my neighbor very well detailed and I love the way you placed your sidings some go slightly up or down hill ...this would be sweet to see in person where is this layout located Im in greenbay ...
Hiya jbass, I'm appalled at how small a person can be once they are viewed as "A legend in their own mind" I like to hope that Skydog would not have been so petty if he were here.A great tune, ,exc
ellant video, Thanx jbass for sharing with us, a hearty well done from me.!!!!!!!!!
I think this is so cool! I was think of using a mini camcorder, but since seeing your video I'm rethinking how to go about this on our modular layout. I've even thought about shooting a video close to the rear of the train to give the impression of a ride on the caboose platform.I would keep lower rolling stock out front so as not to block the view, whatta think?
In one of my vids I towed the camera behind a loco in front of the other train, that would give you the caboose view. The Oregon helmet cam is a little larger than a "D" cell battery, its round and comes with a variety of mounts. I screws its base to a depressed center flat car and it clears all tunnels and bridges...its self contained but has no monitor screen, you just store an hours worth of vid and look at it later. Make short test runs to check camera angle, speed or train, etc.
btw, these helmet cams are around $100 or less, look on eBay, that's where I got mine...lost of other uses, I attached it to the tie rod on my vehicle and made a grounds eye view of the road while driving, very cool...
9' x 23' overall in a large "C" shape, open to the middle and all sides, no duck-unders. 24" to 36" wide at the middle and legs of the C, 48" at the ends. about 32" to 42" high track levels....open to tours if you are ever near NJ (20 miles west NYC)
Really nice layout. I enjoyed this video very much. Despite you had your original music removed you chose a very suitable track from the youtube library.
Love the vid!!!!!! LOOKS SOOO REAL! If you weather the cars you can fool people if you do that again! They will think that is a real town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While the overall video was wonderful, so much so I added to my list, I must admit I'm somewhat disturbed by the choice of music you had. To me your music was rather depressing. Great video, but I do wish it was longer. :)
No LIRR, I run my home road, RS, plus Reading, Lehigh Valley, CNJ, Erie and NYSW, each of which I interchange with in my operating scheme. I'm a North-South bridge line in Central New Jersey! Monthly Ops session if you live in the NYC metro area, newbies always welcome, thanks for looking!

I am impressed by your attention to detail at track level. One could almost believe it was the real thing... until you go into the tunnels, anyway!

OK. Let's see if I have this right... If I want to ship my widgets from Sparta to Denville, they go through Plainfield, right?
Very nice work, jbass62. I watch them for inspiration before working on my own layout. Thanks!
