@edmontontsai Hmmm would you rather live in Tibet or Taiwan? Where do you think people have more rights? Congrats to the Taiwanese, I have met a few and they are all awesome people and extremely nice.
@edmontontsai Sure, if you're looking for something that exemplifies the oppression of the Chinese people, MY people, under Communist rule. The CCP uses the annual parades as a propaganda tool to boost the people's "confidence" in the gradually rotting regime. In general, the Communists feel like they have something to prove to the world.
youre not seeing it the way its intended. this is done to showcase the cultural diversity on taiwan. if this was the least bit oppressive then you wouldnt have seen any of the indigeonous people participating. whats oppressive and arrogant is the communists insist that taiwan is there territory and refuse to recognize the republic of china. yet the r.o.c exists has ruled and is ruling on taiwan since1945. as a democracy today, its not rotting its developing and well respected worldwide.
@edmontontsai perhaps, if you prefer a military facade. but by comparison the r.o.c. displayed its cultural diversity more, rather than its military might like the communists do. the commies just hide behind the military and now their economy. but it wont last. the commies dont celebrate. they flaunt there military power. they are a bubble waiting to burst.

@bigblondman1 I'm not saying this is oppressive. I'm talking about the Communists. Read the comment and the comment it replies to.

@civilaid I went there to shoot photos not to make a movie. I thought I'd share the photos but did not want to do Facebook.
