Hi! I would like to know, do you send it to the from their email? I am curently writing a book for nanowrimo and I would like to publish it in the future, its almost done :)
COUL YOU PLEASE REPEAT OR BE MORE CLEAR ABOUT THE AGENCIES (WEB) I CAN APPLY. REALLY IS FOR MY SON HE IS 7 HE CREATE A WONDERFUL COMICS AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO LOOK FOR YOU .. THANK YOU SO MUCH
How to Publish your own Book. Move to New York City. Look for an "Agent" who's willing to help you "fund" your writing. J.B. LipponCott & Co. ( JLC) will tell you how many books will sell. It will make it to "New York Times" best seller.
Hmmm. I've been through all this. And I can tell you 99% of the publishers out there are crooked and the 1% are in New York and are too busy to talk to you. She could have just said that Kindle is the future of publishing and it must be the easiest way.
@AZstarwatcher so do you think that self publishing is the way to go? If so, what websites should you use, can you trust to self publish? How does copywright work when you self publsih?
@sweetpickles87 If you wrote the book, the copyright is already yours. If you get it published, they will fill out the paperwork for you. It goes to the Library of Congress in Washington. (Google it).
I definitely think Kindle has more power for the author if you can get over the fact that it's not a physical book. It's FREE. Self-publishing is not. If you self-publish, get a contract. Have a lawyer present if possible. Make sales BEFORE publishing. BTW Bookstores are not always honest.:(
Thanks for posting.... wow, if you can write as fast as you talk you could fill a library in no time : ) ..... the information seems useful and I will research the links. I haven't been published, but I have written one book and working on a second. I really enjoy writing so nothing is lost even if I am never published. Thanks again
Thanks for the advice on avoiding self-publishing. Though I too have a story I'm working on, and hope to one day see up on a shelf, in a book store. There's just not so my places I know in Gibraltar where I can even publish a book, and going to England one day to do just that, would be optional. I thank you again for the advice and hope you help many other young, and new writter looking to sell or share their stories with the world. :)
oh these are the days i wish i could do. been writing different stories/novels/poems all of my teen years and am just now getting a story that i love and can't wait to write.
hopefully in (two) years ill get this thing published. thanks for the info Kiera!
@TheDeathkngiht So am I! Well, I'm 12. Does it cost to get an agent. Do you know? I really love to write. I want my stories to be read by hundreds at least.
hi <3 thanks so much for this info, i have been working on my book forever, and i really wanna publish it :D not for money, but i just genuinely want to share my story (but the fame and fortune would be nice, yeah xD jk) hahaha, anyway, thanks for an intro into the process of publishing :3
This vid is really helpful. I've always loved writing. And I'd like to publish a book, only thing is I don't know what to write about, I get flickers of ideas, but I don't know how to put them into a plot on paper. But, regardless, this vid is helpful.
@emilytheunique i do,i've been writing for many years now,i have yet to publish my books, but i understand how difficult it is to get started on the actual storyline.first, what genre do you plan to write with?
@emilytheunique If you find an idea that seems to stick and that you like a lot, look up things about the topic to get your mind going. Then write a rough outline and go from there. That's how I got started with my book. Hope I helped :)
There are tons of "best-sellers" on the market that I think are just drivel. No plot, just a bunch of smoke and mirrors and overly burdened by sexual themes. How do they make all this money yet authors with a genuine story get ousted by cheesy romance novels. It's really humorous to think of, until you start to cry. *Entropy ensues, from the inside out.* x-x <---De'd.
Everyone who is reading this comment, please click on my username for my videos I made about the The Truth of the World. I have found out what the truth of life is, the truth of the world, and the truth of God. Please, I really want people to watch and listen what I have to say. No more living in false reality, no more living in illusions, no more thinking there is no way out......its time to lead your life into The Truth of the World!!!!!!!!!
*laughs* repetitive music and rate of speech aside, I found the information accurate and valuable ^_^ you have a pleasant balance of encouragement and realistic advice. Perhaps you should consider posting a video describing your book? @--}-----
You are talking too fast. You should try to slow down and breathe more when you are trying to give people advice and help. Some people may find it difficult to follow what you are saying. TAKE IT SLOW!!!
Thanks allot. This video really helped me out. I really want my book publishing, I've spent over 16 years writing my book saga. It's got thirty-two books in the saga. And each book acts as a planet in the Cataclysmic system (Cataclysmic system is basically the solar system in my book)
And every chapter in all of my 32 books acts as a star constellation. My books a Fantasy book, that incorporates Sci-fi into it too. It's going to be a really nice epic! Thanks.
:D thanks! Yeah I'm going to use lulu to publish my book's. I'm drawing, writing, and editing my own comic book as well. When I get my books done, my friend owns a comic book store and he's going to sell my books in there.
Wow thats so lucky you know someone who owns a bookshop! Since self publishing makes it hard to market or get the books in an actual store. good luck!
Thanks! I'll be needing all the luck I can get. If I get my books published, more than likely some big time publisher will pick up on them. If that happens then I'll give you all of the 32 books, with original drawings in and draughts. They will also be signed obviously.
If you do self publish your books, sell them on a website called etsy, just google etsy. You sell your handmade stuff on their. Including self published books.
Wow thank yo a bunch. I love talking/reading things with other authors however I know very few other writers. And I've been trying to see, if I do self publish, what would be the best place to do it.

Yeah I talked to Tim Burton a while back, before he was ' famous '. We used to be in touch, but he couldn't be bothered with me any more because he's ' famous ' now. The most amazing author I've ever talked to is a guy called Claudio Sanchez, he inspired me.
Well in terms of the best place for self publishing what I mean is the concern for publicity and making sure people actually know your book is out there. And I love Tim Burton!! I can't believe you talked to him before he got famous!! He's my favorite director and my dream actually is to write a book and have him direct it, or like co-direct it with him, since my genre of writing that I love is horror/fantasy. Actually I'm curious, when did I ever mention Tim Burton here? lol i cant recall.
You wrote, I loved talking to other authors. And I adapted it from that lol. Also I visited your channel and new instantly that your were a Burton fan, lol. Yeah you have the same dream as I do! I actually phoned Burton up after I posted my last comment and he was pleased to hear from me. I guess he does have time. Yeah he says he's going to try and help me with my book's. If my book gets out their, I'll try and get my publishers to publish yours too (:
If you decide to publish your book independtently and let's say you have a bunch of printed copies to sell. Wouldn't you have to be registered as a business somehow?
