I cried so much in this movie. Especially in the scene where he listens to 'ave verum corpus' and remembers Johannes, and when he tells SOphie, 'dont turn me in', and when he meets his mom at the end...Its probably one of the most touching movies ever, and the book even more. One of the few movies that actually do justice to the book they're based on.

I finally rented this movie and it is so incredible. when he puts his hand out the window of the truck, I do that too, I cried. I cried when he was in the lovely tiled bath and saw the bar of soap, how in one case it is nothing and to him it was something his friend died for. Amazing film. We need more like this, what an actor that boy is, it is the struggle of life all in a movie.
