Jomo Hankerson, Aaliyah's cousin, is angered by reports that the passengers argued with Morales. "I don't subscribe to the scenario that the passengers of a plane dictate them to overload the plane," he says. "That seems unfathomable. In the airline business, safety has to always come first.

Now every1 knows Aaliyah hated to fly, she even told her mom before flying out to the bahamas that the first plane was too small but got on, made it to the island, and everything was fine. But I know i wouldn't get on an overloaded plane, in my opinion I think the whole blackhawk airline

He wasn't even licensed to fly that aircraft but somehow he is able to fly Aaliyah, a superstar, in a crop duster. I think they never even weighed the luggage, they just did it all for the money and put everything on. Then the plane crashed and they try to save their asses and make up rumors saying that it's their fault.

The pilot couldn't fly out of Florida to the Bahamas because his license was suspended on is August 13th drug possesion charges. He was flown to the Bahamas. There were planes nearby abaco that were called down, that would have been sufficient, but this Cessna was called in out of the blue by Atlantic Flight Group.

I was only 11 when she passed, but I will never forget the way I felt.. I never cried over a celebrity that died, but I shed tears for Aaliyah man.. I was a BIG fan of hers, I thought it was cool what she was doing, she wasn't like all the other artist who set a bad example on the younger generation. Her music was dope and the lyrics were positive, she could dance, sing, and act. A triple threat. She was a role model for girls and every guy's dream girl.

that's so nice of that girl at 1:33 to be holding Aaliyah's last album in respect of her. I was 11 years old when she passed away and looking back now, I feel so stupid not knowing this great music artist's existance because back then I was stupidly addicted to nintendo and sega video games and mindless anime cartoons! I really miss out on goods things back in the late 90's before 2001 showed it's horrible face.

I remember the day she died so well, i was like 10 i was sleeping with my sister in my moms room and idk why but i juust woke up, and looked at the tv station it so happened to be on the news channel at like 6 in the morn i just stared at the t.v and couldnt believe it i woke my sister up and told her we were silent she then turned and was like "omg are you crying you dont even know her" then went back to sleep.....

Man, only god knows how much I love and think of her everyday. I truly adore her, she is my everything, my inspiration, the reason I still to this day have faith in making it. She died too soon! I'm missing her like crazy and I can only imagine what her family is going through, at this very moment. I know there is much more to the industry, despite the rumors, some may be true. Aaliyah hated to fly. She told her mom and her brother she didn't want to fly out in the 1st place but it needed to be done. Then right before boarding the flight back, her boyfriend at the time, Damon Dash said Aaliyah 2way'd him saying that she didn't like small plane they were getting on..
