@gringasalsera No I'm sorry my camera cut out just after this, and by the time I had put a new memory card in she was finished and onto the next one. I think she does the same choreo (well as much choreo as there is in a rachel brice performance? lol mostly improve most of the time) but I have seen her do something really similar to this I think to the same movie on one of the Tribal Fusion DVD's not sure which one though...

rachel is not a belly dancer... she is a girl doing hip hop, break dance contemporary dance and belly dance mouvements, arabic dance is about the essence and the soul, what she really does not have... She is an exellent dancer and gymnast.. but she is NOT a belly dancer!. And about Dina, she has incredible technic... u just cant see it cuz she is not all about fire works like the americans....

I had never heard of "Tribal" belly dancing until I saw Rachel. I've heard there are many different types, Egyptian, Lebanese and so on. I wouldn't be too hard on her. For the style that she does, no one can top her. She's fantastic and hypnotic.

I am amazed every one's admiring Rachel, belly dance is supposed to be sexy she is not sexy , just high technique,stiff back shoulders, neck and fingers. belly dancers here are so frigging technical, ruined Egyptian dance, you all can't tell the difference until you see a real Egyptian dance, I've never seen an Egyptian dancer dance like that, when you watch one you never pay attention to the technique it's all about the energy and the sexiness of the dancer not her technique

In some respects I agree with you. Obviously Rachel Brice has studied this for a while, but I've seen performances from others that aren't as 'stiff', and have a more sensuous feel to them (a lot of them just local dancers who've grown up with bellydancing as a common part of their culture). Perhaps it's a matter of taste.

actually, and maybe someone can tell me if this is true or not, but I learned that bellydance was originally a dance by women, for women; so that tells me that sexiness is not the goal. But you're right, Egyptian dance is more high energy but this is tribal - a whole different ballgame.

SHE IS PERFECTLY IN TIME WITH THE MUSIC! but for some reason when i load it up the sound is 4-5 seconds behind. i will be deleting this soon and will up load it again when i can figure out how to get the music in time. unless its just my computer? would love it if someone could help me out here.
