I like this song, even as an Atheist. It's not preachy or totally throwing god into the face of the listener. Up until the last lines had I not already known Casting Crowns was a religious band and that this was a religious song, I probably wouldn't have guessed. Feel free to disagree but it doesn't specify what the song is about so it could be about nearly any organization or idea. Anyways, disagree or not, it's a good song.

Wow this song is so annointed. Prior to my salvation I was sexually active and into drugs and gangs and whole scene. So as a saved person its really hard to live right especially giving up drugs and premarital sex. But really meditating on the message of the song coupled with the power of the Holy Spirit I have been able to fight of temptation of going back to drugs and sex. Either Jesus is Lord of all, or He's Lord of nothing don't give devil an inch 2nd glance will kill you.

It's very appropriate for the lukewarm church that's been taught they aren't responsible for their deeds, and reproves the false idea that one can't lose what God gives. We will pay the price for our deeds eventually if we don't keep ourselves in the love of God and stay separate from this world's lusts.
