All your vids are great but the rock series takes me back to the first crates I dug in. My parents record collection. I can't believe Bonita Applebum break is from Little feet! One of my favorite groups sampled one of my mothers. But such is Hip Hop...
That D Nice didn't change much when he stole it,did he?..I mean bought, ahem, usage rights.Cool channel though..But not even half through the video i see you added some B.Marley?sssllllll.I not sure if that would be a RnR to Hip H. sample.I'm NOt CARE!! I gona send you this mix video I made & subscribe. cause you're still cool as f**k! & please subscribe back
Awesome... I think FUNKY COLD MEDINA is actually based more on FOREIGNER'S "HOT BLOODED" guitar hook and the opening drum break from THE ROLLING STONES' "HONY TONK WOMEN" though ...but I might be wrong.
Funky Cold Medina's main guitar riff is from Hot Blooded, has a small riff from Christine Sixteen by Kiss, and has the opening drums from both Honky Tonk Women and Get Off Your Ass and Jam by Funkadelic.
Song #4: Was Dog A Doughnut by Cat Stevens was sampled by Sauce money on the song "Do you See" Featuring Puff Daddy from his debut CD "Middle Finger U". Keep on diggin!!!!!! : D
dude you gotta make some mixtapes of this stuff and sell them show were there sampled on the cd sleeve and all you should make it the greatest samples in hip hop collection
glad u did a rock edition. but one minor correction. mama miss america.(awesome track) is not wings, actually just paul from first solo record entitled simply "Mccartney"
im glad they said no to you because you deserve to be on a channel better than MTV. they dont even play music vids anymore do they? anyways keep up the good work that was pretty entertaining!
Manni from the Stone Roses stated in an interview that the bassline from Fool's Gold came about from them jamming to Young MC's "Know How". If you listen it's identical. Also Fool's Gold goes down well when dropped anywhere.
Doesn't matter if it's Nas or Sting, both tracks are really deep. The first time I heard the Sting song was in this movie Léon, so I always remember the movie when I hear this song.
Hey man, just thought I'd tell you that I heard Mani, the bass player of the Stone Roses say that he basically ripped off the bassline for fool's gold after hearing a Run Dmc track. So I don't know where they took it from in the first place, but this was a case of rock, sampling hip hop, sampling rock!
And nah McCartney didn't ruined his career by joing Wings, it made him richer. LOL!!!! Peace.
Don't forget Van Halen's "Jamie's Crying" which Tone Loc sample for "Wild Thing" & it would be cool if you could break down The Beastie Boys classic samples from their masterpiece "Paul's Boutique" & Dangermouse's "The Grey Album.
i like your voice bro
