Beautiful job. Emulating another drummer and playing to a record (and effectively burying the original drum track) is more challenging than many people can understand.  Great drummers like Johnny not only have THEIR OWN SOUND ... but can capture someone else's world-class chops, groove and personal style also. **5 fkn' stars for Johnny! Absolutely awesome job.

Nice playing Johnny! I've been playing drums since age 4. I can play all of that stuff, so I know how difficult it actually is.  Those on here that are not giving you your props are just haters. Sadly, many do not understand drumming as the craft that it is. Keep the beat going

You're right Johnny! Everybody is a critic and instead of giving you your props they feel they have to point out inconsequential,inane and even non existent flaws! I see the look on your face as determination and groovin'!This was an awesome cover of as you said one of the greatest drummers in the world!As for the open handed style of Phillips he plays everything like that not just this song!Many greats play that way!
