Pretty good list! Pearl Jam is my favorite band but i dont really consider them grunge. Mudhoney and Alice In Chains are awesome! I like Nirvana but I would replace Soundgarden. There is just something about them I do not enjoy.

@jimhefferon1 I think it depends on how you look at it. alot of "grunge" bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden etc, all had a similar sound. That same kind of vocal style with sort of power notes in their voice, long ringing guitar notes, shredded patterns... Nirvana is more like a Careless, Distorted rock sound that isn't trying to express anything but Nirvana. genres aside. the playing is sorta different, i think as it can be grunge, "alternative rock" suits it more.
