  • Its almost too bad Sikma will only be remembered for this. His post game in his prime was worth watching. I guess if you're gonna get owned, you might as well get owned by one of the best.

  • lol, Jack Sikma, slowest big man ever. remember when he had a perm? What a douche.

  • @Mevs2012 Well considering that Detroit won 2 Championships and La won 5, I disagree

  • The best part about this video is how Heinsohn was about to tell us how great the Bucks' unit of the floor was probably their best.

  • "BIRDD WITH THE PASS THROUGH THE LEGS OF SIKMA." Classic.

  • ahahahahah, "if he had knocked knees, he might have been able to do somethin' about that"!!!!!!

  • wow!

  • @Mevs2012 well yeah they were great but Magic owned the 80's 5 rings, bird 3 rings.

  • Tommy Heinson...YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL MAN, DON'T CHANGE! And yes I am looking for a Tommy Point!

  • @Mevs2012 Sorry Lakers were better then the Celtics in the 80's overall.

  • @guidi2005 here's the thing though to be fair, the western conference throughout the 80s was weak except for LA, they cruised yearly with almost no serious contenders, the Celtics were fighting outstanding Philly teams early, Detroit teams late, and more notable stars like Jordan, B.King, Dominque on competitive teams throughout the decade, switch conferences and I think the titles are reversed

  • @Comictalent Some good points and maybe you're right but the Lakers beat the Celtics 2-1 in the 80's. I will say that the 86 Celtics were the best team in the 80's. What is important is both teams raised the level and popularity of the sport.

  • sick pass by bird. but credit also to sikma, he plays better than some new centers today

  • That laugh!!! Tommy Heinson or Barney Rubble?!?!?!?!?

  • @dknorth heinsohn

  • Magic was the master of passing, but larry sure was good to

  • @basketball4ever231 Perhaps...but Larry did things I've never seen Magic do. Larry was a better all around player than Magic was. Magic had the better team and more help. But Larry.........he was like a one man team. It was often Larry Bird vs. the Lakers

  • @williwo I agree with you, just wanted to say my opinion

  • @williwo Thank You...Bird was an even mix of Magic and MJ....Magic shot 5,000 shots fewer than Bird....Magic would be Stockton if he were on a lesser team....if Kareem worthy, wilkes and scott were on the Celtics Bird would have 6 rings...Magic is the greatest PG ever but Bird is a top 5 player ever in terms of impact and individual skill.

  • @usnate1 Yeah I agree with that. I'm going to say, however, that I see Magic as the 2nd greatest PG of all time. Individually, I believe Pete Maravich is the greatest ever. Maravich did things that would make your jaw drop down to the ground like a cartoon. He is the best passer in the history of the NBA, and also one of the most dominant PG scorers ever. I love Magic. He was an incredible passer, and one of the best ever. But even Magic's passing can often seem average when compared with Pete's

  • @williwo I disagree Pistols Pete made some amazing passes but you look at the timing of them and the situation of a lot of them and it just seemed like a lot of flash. Like Pete would make a twenty foot bounce pass under his legs to a wide open guy. Is that flashy and fun to watch,HELL YEA, but not necessary. Magics passes were flashier than Bird's but more practical than Pete's. Bird had amazing passes but if you look at them... they are all very necessary. He did tight passes in heavy traffic.

  • @williwo P.S.- I didn't have enough room but....the best passers are first Bird, then Magic, then Pistol Pete. The reasons are as I said Pistol was a very flashy player but he was almost like a Harlem Globe Trotter. He did a lot of neat little tricks but they were just tricks and unnecessary. Look at Bird here for instance...Sikma was standing right in front of him with his legs wide open....it made sense for Bird to pass under his legs. Anyway, all three of the players you mentioned were great.

  • @usnate1 Now in terms of stats and overall production.....then I would say Oscar Robertson is the best PG ever. He wasnt the flashy passer that Pistol and Magic were.....but he was the king of Triple-Doubles. No point guard had better overall stats than the Big O. But when it comes to passing, Pistol is the greatest ever....followed by Magic

  • @williwo Agree with Walt and also Oscar statements...I will say that I believe Oscar was good for his time but the 60's(unlike the late 70's and 80's) are so sketchy in terms how well the best players would do in later...at 6'5'' Oscar prob wouldn't get double digit rebounds...Bird =Oscar of the 80's He would've been a SG in the 80's as a scorer first I think. Bird and Oscar are in my top 4 all time....MJ,Wilt,Oscar, Bird,Kareem, Magic in that order for me. MJ's playoffs stats and D were crazy

  • @usnate1 I want to add one more comment and state that I think Walt Frazier is the greatest defensive PG ever.

  • AMAZING PASS. LARR BIRD WAS THE MASTER OF PASSING!!!!

  • lot of the players today are heavier, they can barely elevate off the ground,i started wearing those type shorts and all they make you do is put on weight

  • was there 24 shot clock back then?

  • note how they all had normal shorts. today, the NBA players have shorts that go way past their knees. why even have shorts? on top of that, they are so loose. it's actually like wearing something extra but with no better results.

  • He made it all look too easy. It's why younger fans don't appreciate Bird. He made guys that were infinitely more athletic than him look like fools. Do a search on "Bird scores 60". He's just toying with Dominique Wilkins. It's almost cruel.

Top 3 players of all time (Jordan, Magic). Greatest small forward of all time, without a doubt.

  • better than jordan

  • Tommy what a funny laugh. Bird totally bitchslapped Sikma on both ends of the court. That play would be repeated like 100 times on Sportscenter if it was like today

  • the annocer is gunna die laughing literally lol smoker hahaha.

  • If you're a fan of the C's you gotta love Tommy Heinsohn..LMAO

  • jack sikma is my godfather:) lol

  • Wow, that was sick, it looks like Tom Heinshon enjoyed the play.

  • Gee, you think Sikma gets the call if he's in Celtics uni at 0:42?

    I know, I know....

...22 years and I'm still pissed.

  • Greatest Passing Forward right there!

  • Number 33 the DREEEEEEEEAM!!!!LARRY BIIIIIIIIRD!!!!!!!!

  • is that don nelson coaching the bucks ?

  • Yeah, he coached the Bucks from '76-'87.

  • man he is old as f*ck lol

  • sweet vid. dunno why some retards dont give it 5 stars
