Hoewever they should buy some larger bars as in bars made to do tractor trailer tires 11/24.5 or 11 22.5 or even tractor tires 13.9-36 would make their job easier and as far as the rim being fucked i still dont get it.Guess they cant dismount?? OK I need to clear something up with all you fucking no life sit behind the computer youtubers. First off let me start off by saying I am a technician at an Americas Tire in Northern California. I Mount tires on rims 100+ times a day. these guys are NOT, i repeat, NOT DAMAGING THE RIM IN ANY WAY. the rim is facing DOWNWARDS and its on CARDBOARD so they don't scratch it on the floor. the portion you are looking at is the side facing the center of the car, NOONE CAN SEE THAT SIDE OF THE RIM!!!!!!!

@kappagreen71 All tire places use these tools - even when a machine is at hand... They are necessary to slip the bead inside the rim. Without them, you can potentially tare the tire since the bead doesn't stretch. Also, they are not even related to screwdrivers - these are specialised pry bars for tire fitting.

Your all idiots.. A lot of machines cant handle a 30" rim, this is why you see them using tire bars. They are doing it right.. Who ever said that this method will break the steel cord and cause a shifted belt or a flat spot, you are a moron. The only thing i might have done differently. Use bigger tire bars with more leverage.. turn this into a 1 man job. Although I can definitely see that with such a low profile tire on a huge wheel, it may be a really difficult 1 man job.

Potholes beat the SHIT out of those rims.

@draward The rods are meant for rims but they come with removable plastic covers to protect the wheels (which are not being used). The cover is removable because it wears out. Many people don't use it because it increases the thickness of the rod making the job more difficult.
