Those are all units that are legends, and thats precisely why the 101st Airborne was in fact the first on ground unit in Afghanistan behind the Spec op's, not to mention after 9/11 it was Delta Force / Rangers / Seals who were on ground first, chasing Bin Laden and leading the rebels. Marine Force Recon wasnt even considred for that job, they cant compare sir. I hate to lay these facts on you, but please, look them up before you respond with rhetoric. The U.S. Army 1-87 Infantry, and 10th Mountain Division were the first on ground conventional force in Afghanistan, see Operation Anaconda. Second, the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry completly decimated the Republican Guard, and was the first to Enter Baghdad in 2003, and in Fact were waiting on the Marines who were bogged / pinned down. @JTino93 Actually in Fallujiah the Marines called us. They had no armor and very little in the way of supplies. We always shared our MRE's with them. Plus we got lit up a lot by Marines. I hate the Bradley in garrison but in 04 in Ramadi and Fallujiah I loved them. 11B20

you can hear in the beginning they scream "Allah Akbar" then they start shooting, One of the Marines was hurt probably from rpg shrapnel or a mortar hit, most likely survived but was definitely injured.

Those are all units that are legends, and thats precisely why the 101st Airborne was in fact the first on ground unit in Afghanistan behind the Spec op's, not to mention after 9/11 it was Delta Force / Rangers / Seals who were on ground first, chasing Bin Laden and leading the rebels. Marine Force Recon wasnt even considred for that job, they cant compare sir. I hate to lay these facts on you, but please, look them up before you respond with rhetoric. I have respect for 0311's, yet the USMC cannot compete, you all are one dimensional, you dont have Paratrooper's, your amphibious tracks are nothing compared to the Bradley, thats why we made it to Baghdad in 03' at a rate twice as fast as you. And our famed units have a history, for which you cant compare. 82nd ABN, 101st ABN, 3rd Infantry, "The Big Red One"

Now i wont take anything away from these marines, they were there, they did they're best. I have to comment though I didnt hear any of the NCO's really giving direction? What happend to Support by Fire, possible Flank with another squad? I mean, I know this wasnt one squad out on patrol alone, and if it was, the USMC does shit just ass backwards then. Im not here to flame anybody, im an Army Grunt who HAS been there, but it just seemed like I didnt hear anybody on the radio, or anything

The U.S. Army 1-87 Infantry, and 10th Mountain Division were the first on ground conventional force in Afghanistan, see Operation Anaconda. Second, the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry completly decimated the Republican Guard, and was the first to Enter Baghdad in 2003, and in Fact were waiting on the Marines who were bogged / pinned down. Now, lets debate

@11bravo1789 Go to any casualty site and tell me why there are thousands more dead soldiers. The Marines are trained longer and more efficiently to do jobs the Army doesn't in basic infantry. Tell me why the Marines come to the aid of soldiers when the soldier is pinned down. Now my family is Marine oriented, as well as I am. Also, don't send a long ,crafty message bitching to me why the Army is better because I know you are planning on it and I don't want to hear it

@JTino93 Operation Anaconda was the U.S. Army 10th Mountain, and 101st Airborne, who followed up behind the Army Delta Force, Army Rangers, Army Green Beret's, and Navy Seals. The Marines Spec Op's wernt even there, and then the MARSOC unit that was brought in Later was THROWN out of the country for being outright Retarded. Look it up. The Marines Aint first to fight , thats a known fact. From what it sounds like, you arnt even a Marine, so where do you even get the Audicity to comment?

@JTino93 Actually in Fallujiah the Marines called us. They had no armor and very little in the way of supplies. We always shared our MRE's with them. Plus we got lit up a lot by Marines. I hate the Bradley in garrison but in 04 in Ramadi and Fallujiah I loved them. 11B20
