I cant speak for ES and I can't play guitar but when I do VOX/Bass and there is a tambourine I tap my foot on the leg of my mic stand & thats enough...but I have to be on hard wood & wearing shoes! Some people whistle into the MIC I read???

when i hit the tambos i have to sort of beatbox. i make the bass drum sound of a drum beat with my mouth and that does a good job of getting them :D
