I tried to send you a link to my video but it's not letting me. Just look up trex600heliguy and it's the only stryker one up there. Look at the barrel roll at full throttle.
@trex600heliguy I have seen the video, i does roll a bit try to correct it as i told you you should be fine. have you ever try a wing as in the ritewing ?? frame is a lot less draggy and men with the setup you have it would be fat as hell ...look at my other video you'll see mine ...the weather wasnt that good but lot of wind but still pretty fast ..
I just built a Stryker with the following setup: 6s 2600 mAh Spyder battery ARC 28-47-2 motor 5A BEC 6 X 4 prop Hi-tech 85mg servos Solid turnbuckle pushrods Custom ailerons My machine wants to barrel roll to the right at full throttle. Any suggestions / recommendations? Thanks!!
@trex600heliguy , that seem like a nice setup ...pretty fast ...the thing is that the prop spin so fast and have so much power compared to the length of the wing that it will roll on it self, you could try to do a mixing in your radio to correct it ...it will help for sure.
Thanks for the reply. I am going to add a 4 degree right thrust to the setup to see if that helps before I add any mixing. The custom motor mount that I am ordering has a 4 degree angle in it so maybe that's what I need to do!! Here is my link to see what I am talking about

i set my stryker up with a 6x4 prop on a 3700kv motor on 3s the maiden lasted less than 40 sec. i through it went around the back stop while trimming then came for a high speed pass and the wing broke off. bench test showed 870 watts peak estimated max speed of about 120.
just started the new one today. this time im adding a carbon spar and maybe fiberglass on the LE.
@TrevJonez As much power as you're running you want at very least that carbon tube across the wing to stiffen it. I'm aiming for 120 out of mine and have fiberglassed the motor mount area, have a 5mm OD (not overkill, just thorough) CF tube spanning across the wing area and have it just behind the launch handles, plus wrapped the whole airframe in 3M Extreme tape. It weighs about twice what the standard airframe does but is plenty stiff and will easily hold up to 120+ speeds.
Nice flying, I have the HXT 2835 3900kv inrunner ready for my F 27 Stryker. What prop do you suggest. I have 6*4 and 5*5 props. I know the kv is high. I also have a 50A ESC. Any suggestions would be appreciated
This isn't a real jet engine. There is such a thing among modelers, however rare. You should probably get the HobbyZone Super Cub LP as a beginner plane. The Stryker would probably be a good plane for when you've mastered the Cub.
Cool. I was planning to get the 16/25/x for mine. Would the same setup work with that motor as well, you think? I'm purchasing that esc tonight. Is the 16/15/3 still holding up OK?
Yes it is 2 x 3s 2200mah put in series it give you 6s 2200mah, if you do parallele instead you keep the 3s but double the mah so 4400mah in this setup you will get a longer flight time but not the performance as the motor dosn't spin enough.
Very nice Video, one of the best I have seen, you really captured the sound and speed of your Stryker. Did you do any structure mods from a stock airframe.
Or any other mods, What type of ESC are you Running, Can you run 6s.
They tend to inflate, but I guess its normal.... Apart from that, never had any issue. My expensive EVO 20C packs do not inflate, but after some months their discharge drops to 12C, but the hexies never drop, and I keep all the batteries balanced..... I will never buy EVO again, perhaps thunder power, but for now I am pretty much pleased with my cheap Chinatown lipos!!!!
Those hextronik lipos form UH really rocks. The 2300 5S boosts over 20C, so you can go up to 50 A. I can pull 900W and do no harm to the lipos. My recent Stryker has the mighty 16/25/03 on it, but for now is only 4S. I have to get more 5S packs for my Super Tuga Stryker !
I think your 5/5 prop is very small. I know, your amps are low, but you must prop more. With 6S, the best prop will be the 6/4. Try it, and say something....
Well i use the hextronic battery too...but i've put 2 2200 20c in series and they pop after the third flight, i will try to buy 5s or 6s and see what they does!! glad to see i'm not the only one that like these cheap pack!!!
Nice vid Jattamasso, your plane is plenty fast to have a lot of fun !!! it's easy to push a stryker over the 120mph ...(also easy to crash lol)...You just need good battery pack (actually my issue) next vid i will prop up more like 6*6 or 7*7 on 6s...that will be crazy !! if i plan on going to portugal i'll bring my stryker with me and go fly with you!!
cool ouin je croit que je vais men monté un moi aussi avec le dollar qui est fort cest un bon deal un great plane 28 45 2200 pour 35$ pas cher ca devrait etre plus rapide que le -27c stock que j'ai assyer rest a voir ;)

I'm a heli guy, but I really want a stryker. Do you think I will have a hard time with it as my 1st jet plane?
