NICE! great bang for ure buck beer. 1.89 at my shoprite store! lol. its actually a baltic porter, so theres ure 9.5%. little mettalicky but def a good beer.
@10cutler well craft beer usually refers to beer or brewerys producing a limit amount of beer per year ( i think the tecnical amount in the US is like 5 million barrels per year), so it depends on how much of this beer is being brewed per year. i know europe uses a different scale to determine craft beer, but i have no idea what that is...
@jjrudy41 yeah i hear the term craft beer used a lot by you guys in the US but it doesnt really seem to mean the same thing or anything at all here in europe, zywiec and its parent group is a massive company (i agree the porter is nice though) and i guess would come under what you would refer to as "macro beer". The same as like fullers in england, they are a big brewery and available everywhere but seem to get referred to as a craft beer in the US (again, they make good beer anways) interesting
@10cutler it looks like this is owned by heinekin which is considered a maco brewery, but it might still be a small batch beer at a macro brewey hahahah. i was reading how europe considers craft beer as cask ale or real ale is that true??? i love cask beer but its really hard to come by in the US. my local watering hole has a cask engine, and we get a beer on a firkin about once a month... its awesome.
@jjrudy41 its a very blurred line really, i mean in the uk real ale is defined as cask conditioned beer yeah and is available in most pubs, but over the last few years some newer breweries have started making good quality keg beer which some people refer to as "craft beer" copying the US term i guess, but keg beer has for a long time here been crap, mass produced lagers or "smoothflow" bitters so some people are wary of them. its an intersting debate here at the moment
@10cutler also cask ale is mainly a UK thing as i see it, on the continent its not so big. i spend a lot of time in germany and beer is usually served straight from a wooden barrel or from a keg, also the czech republic uses a tank system a lot of the time to serve unpastuerised beer. I guess good beer is good beer no matter what method is used to store and serve it!
yeah I was pleasantly surprised by this one, too. It's one of the strongest craft beers you can buy for less than $3 a bottle. I know some people that used to stock up on bottles of this and get drunk off it in the pre-Four Loko days, lol
@ChadzBeerReviews yeah i was gonna mention how it was under 3 bucks a bottle, but forgot. yeah i was a big fan of it. that said, nt a bif fan of the four loko...maybe one day ill review that as well...
500 ml = 17 ounces. 500 ml and 330 ml are the volume standards in europe. :)

@Fo3part2 yeah i know they use the metric system in europe, but didn't know how it translate... and the 330 ml is about 10 ounces right???
jjrudy41 1 week ago
