When you use a move, it gets put into a 9 or 10 move-long list (haven't been keeping up with this). When you use a move that is in the list, its damage and knockback is decreased depending on how many times it is in the list and how recently it has been added to the list (one of these might not be true). I switched around to try to minimize the effects. I could probably have inflicted even more damage if I bothered to switch more than once.
I forgot to mention that move list thing is called "stale move negation." If you plan on trying it yourself, don't do it in training mode because it doesn't happen in there.

Yes i know about stale moves, but stale moves don't exist in training for brawl so there rly is no point.
