  • Pursha suktam is part of sandhya bhandhan to be recited morning and evening as part of bramhcharya life (Student life) before entering grihstaashram ie the social life after having acquired the knowledge of Veda during bramhcharya or student life.

  • Kudoss, Simply Great...........Thanks a lot.

beautiful translation, Pls keep it Up..........

  • Thank you for these

  • Thank you, this is beautiful and enlightening. Just one issue, is that my ear detects that the chanting and the musical instrument in the background are not exactly in tune with each other...they are a tiny bit out, I sense.

    Namaste.

  • @ramesh do we have rudram chamakam in this format too?

  • MrKandangath@ourfulltube

The meaning of "navaneetham" is "new butter'. 'neetham' alone stands for butter .'neetham originates forom the root 'nee',meaning 'to lead, 'to carry' etc.

  • @MrKandangath , Thanks for your answer. What is the meaning of "tham"(nava+nee+tham). The word "tham", should have meaning, can you let us know. THANKS IN ADVANCE. PLEASE.

  • @ourfulltube Not Butter; but Ghee, Clarified Butter; it is the Earthly Form the the God AGNI takes; if Eaten Ghee will remove All Impurities from the Body and Mind...

  • nrkkvsnlcom... i want to read all the vedic books.. can u tell me if there are books available in sanskrit with hindi subtitles... where can i get these books from... are there 4 books or subcategories of the 4 vedic books? please do email me at- neelam_physio@yahoo.co.in, thanks

  • @MrNeelamsingh :hey!!!plzz tell me also...if dere r such kind books..

  • Hi. your translations are wrong and not as per Vedas. For eg, the ved mantra Tasmat yajyat sarvahuthaha means"that from that God, Rig, Yajur, Saam and Atharvaveda emanates, which is wrongly translated by you. Similarly there are lot of images which does not tally with Vedas. Vedas says "Natasya Pratima Asti". There is no photo of God. Simlarly Tripadasya amritham divi means this universe is created with 1/4 of gods power and remaining 3/4 remains in Divilok which is immortal.

  • @guru1000ind yes, if I m not wrong, then when he is Nirakar Brahman he has no Pratima, Sakar Brahman can take any form and one can worship Ishwara thus

  • lol I knew there was something wrong with the "fire shines forth" - thats why I left that part out

  • thanks a lot.How ever myself knowing little vedas and practising in the same field I thought this to be my first duty to bring to your notice for correction.

  • tasmAt virAd ajAyata | virAjo adhipUrusha : (not AGNI PURUSHA)

sa jAto atyaricyata | pashcAd bhUmimatho pura:

    please confirm & make correction

  • @anurashiri Thank you. I have made the correction and hope you agree to the translation

  • the Purusha here is referring to all 3 Deities of the Triad of Hindu polytheism.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx no the Purusha is refering to the Brahman of Hinduism. The three dieties are the controllers of the material energy of Brahman. And Hinduism is not polytheistic okay... Get your facts straight. The Devas or "gods" are semi-controllers of the material universe. But their lord is the supreme lord, who is called by many names: Brahman, Siva, Krishna, Vishnu, Purusa, ect.

  • @VShelat93 "The Devas or "gods" are semi-controllers of the material universe"

So the "Supreme Being" created these deities to "help him out" is it ? To share His glory?

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx No, the supreme personality does not need help to control the universe. In the Bhagavad Gita it is said that the supreme remains aloof from this material world, meaning that he is only concerned with the spritual world. To maintain the material world, he uses the Devas or demi-gods to conduct all the affairs. The supreme lord does not need the help of anyone to conduct his affairs, I mean otherwise he wouldn't be supreme woul he?

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx Demi Gods have their limited power as per the mrutuloka(the earth) is concerned and they are controlling the part of physical world as per the divine power. Not only that, human performing great work in human lives goes to heaven and has some powers, that is why Hindus also worship their ancestors hoping that some of them might be having such powers and they will bless family with prosperity. However Lord Vishnu is God of all and supreme soul.

  • @ARVIND276 " Not only that, human performing great work in human lives goes to heaven and has some powers, that is why Hindus also worship their ancestors hoping that some of them might be having such powers and they will bless family with prosperity"

this talk about dead people having powers is nonsense. and worshipping them is heresy.

I don't want to hear any of this shit. don't waste my time if thats what you have to say.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx You are free to think what you want to think, but don't try to persuade others that what is think is the absolute. Death is definition for human life, when you say dead, it not the end, rather its a transition from one life to other. Similarly birth is also a transition. Soul changes body from one to other. You never know where you are going to be next. Yes, don't waste time man, I also don't want to waste time for people like you. got it.

  • @ARVIND276 I dont deny that soul can pass from one body to another. Or that death is not the complete end.

You ask me to worship them. God alone should be the sole object of worship at any time for me. So this talk about worshipping humans is something that I abhor.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx Well, at no point of time in Hinduism I found that worship is compulsory atol, not even to God. Ultimately, its your karma which is decisive. As per the worshiping human is concerned, its all depends upon who is the Human and what I feel for that human. Frankly speaking I personally regard few human in my life I regard so much and have lot of feelings. The presence of such feelings are spontaneous sometime, and high level of love and worship is same at one point.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx Also its all about the purity of actions and intentions. Prayers and Worshiping are having same purpose to purify your behaviour and actions. Once a person's actions and deeds are purified he attains the state of peace. In Bhagvat Gita and in other scriptures these are explained. Rather in Bhagvat gita itlself Lord Krishna has explained about many ways, Gyan yoga, Bhakti yoga, sankhya yoga, karma yoga. One can attain the Moksha through any of them. I don't see any complexity

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx There is no doubt that God should be object to worship, and if he is the sole object to worship, its much better. In veda the God has said "Eko aham Bahushamah" I am the one and I am many. I don't think there is any confusion anywhere. In fact God exist in everything through its Maya(Upnishad). Krishna also says, no matter whosoever worship whom it all comes to me like all rivers merge to sea.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx "Yasya nasti wayam pragya, shastram tasya karoti kim, Lochnabhyam vihinashya darphan kim karishayati" Somebody who is not having sense, nothing can teach him, like there is no use of mirror for blind people. Nobody can teach you anything brother, please don't time on such subject, these are not for you. Yes, when death will approach you, when you will ever see that all this worldly things are of no help for you, then you will want to know many things, but no time.

  • devanam purohitaha here is NOT henotheism

the devas here mentioned are angels in some instances

there are no other "Gods" involved here, never was ever in the Vedas

Purusha isnt referring to "God" in a complete sense

Purusha isnt Saguna Brahman or Ishvara.

Purusha effectively translated is the Transcendant

here Purusha MUST be taken as Narayana, and only Narayana

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx urusha is quite clearly mentioned in the Purusha Suktam as Brahma Prajapati the Creator aka God the Heavenly Father...Narayana is a later adjustment/heresy.However one is free to interpret Purusha as Narayana as most modern hindus do ;-)

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx Yes Narayana is the supreme God mentioned in the Vedas... But Purusha is another name of him. He is said to have thousands of names... examples include Krishna, Rama, Achyuta, Vishnu, Ananda,ect...

  • @VShelat93 Yes true, he sahashtra Namami (thousands of names).

  • Very thankful for people who made this video. I wanted to learn Purusha Suktha and now got a better opportunity :)

  • Ok...if Purusha has 1000 heads and 1000 eyes, then each head has one eye if they are uniformly distributed. Its puzzling...

  • @ashwinianand2002 its in allegorical sense......it means " he sees all "

since we are fixated on linguistic structure the reference is appropriate...

  • @ashwinianand2002

hear u hav 2 know 1 thing 2 get answer for this question

in Sanskrit the accurate meaning of sahasra = "infinite "

so according to that in this versa

    "sahasra seersha purusha sahasraksha sahasrapath"

meaning he has infinite number of heads ,eyes and legs.

so sahasra means not 1000 always .

  • Glorious !!!

  • A joy to listen to. Brings forth memories of homas I have been blessed to attend . The translation adds an additional level to my knowledge and enjoyment. Thank you. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

  • Knowledge can be considered as having two aspects: Baahya Vidya and Brahma Vidya. Baahya Vidya provides the wherewithal for human livelihood.

  • Thank You for posting this in English so people all over the world can understand hinduism. Blessed be.

  • thanks for the tranlation Rameshji nice to now i'dont understand all of it because my english is not so well but still its okey

  • Rig Veda 2500 BC is totally absurd statement at the beginning of the video. No date is ever determined for the vedas and cannot be done so because they are anadi. So, just remove that fairy tale part out of the video, for it has no basis other than malicious western indologists' mind.

  • @v21anand precisely the Vedas are extremely ancient. Especially the Rig Veda.

  • paschad bhumi madho puraha is mentioned indicating that everyone reciting the verses must know that the Rishi having the revelation of this verse wasnt chosen specifically at that time or for that time alone

all was already intended by Divine Will, so "God" didnt observe and then choose, revelation was already intended and was, at the point revelation simply fulfilling

  • @v21anand I agree, the stupidity of the colonizing europeans is shown here. There have no proof to give the Vedas a mundane date, but in spite of their inexperience, they do so. There is no proof of even the Indo European theory, hence it is called a "theory". Thank you for having the guts to point that out. :)

  • very good. the photos and translations are excellent.!!!!

  • Great

  • Thank you for your efforts ! Joy of chanting with the full understanding is price cless !

Enda Ro Mahanu Bhavu lu - Andha Ri Ki Vandanamu !

  • Very nice neat presentation

  • A U M S W A H A !

  • It's wonderful, now I'm happy. Thanks!!!!!!

  • Wow, amazing work, 5*!!!

    Namah Shivaya
