This is why we (the rest of the world) need to stop buying from China. By buying from china, we support this kind of nonsense. This is just waiting for somebody to seriously get hurt or killed, and these people get paid pennies per day. And lets not bring up Foxconn.... China has zero regulations when it comes to well, anything. We have to stop supporting them until they start to smarten up.
@redsquirrelftw the worst thing is the last die probably stamps ''made in the U.S.A.'' in the bottom so for us there is no way of checking where its from
@redsquirrelftw China is an industrializing country unlike the USA, Canada, Germany, Britian, ect. Back when north america was in the industrializing stage the same thing could be seen. Safety costs money. Unlike here where the government tries to legislate everyone into common sense by putting safe guards on every little thing, people there actually have to think and work smart, its not a nanny state.
@mgman71 Moreover, you say they only make pennies per day or whatever it is. You cannot compare wages paid in, for example, the USA to China. Totally different costs of living. If China is willing to produce something for half the cost then why shouldn't we buy it? Their government subsidizes their products for export which makes for unfair competition here. Not exactly a 'free market' unfortunatly.
OMG...I need a few seconds to get it. This is insane. But as someone said before...there are much more worse jobs. I mean: Have you ever seen a documentary about the coal-mine workers in china?
As a 16-year veteran of the sheet metal fabrication/stamping industry, I can tell you first hand how dangerous and potentially deadly this equipment is. I have seen people lose fingers and hands. People have even been crushed to death in presses like this. I have worked for companies that were forced to downsize after losing work to China, where cheap labor means more than life and limb. Safety costs money. Every time we buy "Made in China" we subsidize this greedy disregard for safety.
That's pretty much fucked.. I mean, for example if the guy on the right forget just ONCE of those thousand times to lean backwords that shit will break his neck.
There are much worse jobs than this in china. At least with this one if you keep your head down its not going to clout you, but im sure there are many jobs where accidental injury is very common. its only 100 years since people in britain did jobs just as hazerdous. Coal mines could collapse at any time potentially killing hundereds. They need to work it out for them selves just like all the other MEDC's did.
I thought that they revolted for worker's rights (?)If so, then why are these workers not treated right? How can they allow them to work in such a dangerous production situation? Do they not deserve to be safely away from under the heavy equipment? Do they not deserve to have their safety put first? That heavy equipment is coming down near their head, and the could kill them! But the fact that they are under the equipment is putting them in great danger. How many are killed in China in a year?
The Chinese revolted against landlords, only about 5% even worked in factories or anything similar during the revolution. Apparently the lives of the farmers were greatly improved, but yet many still choose to move to the city to work in factories instead of stay in their farms because the money is better.
Brutal! Why do you buy chinese shit! Stop it!

Are you serious!?
Have you ever worked around one of these presses? Just the noise this would make is hazardous.
They have no safety equipment at all, save for one glove each. No ear or eye protection.
This is BRUTALLY unsafe and unhealthy.
So what I'm saying is, boycott Chinese buckets! :-P
