@lishuys LOL I totally expected a message from the person who posted this video saying, "Yes, I know. Don't need to be rude" though I also put the lyrics up so no one had to ask. These sounds are the easiest words to any Maori song - EVER and it's nearly embarrassing to ask because the only difference between lines is the Vowel.
@SpamBAT no probs:) . . . dani (the singer) learned it in primary a long time ago and so when i wanted it up for my class to learn the next day, she didnt bother checking the words and just went with what she could remember . . . it's good that u put up the correct words, now everyone will know . . . thanx again;)
@lishuys Oh you are the person who posted the video! *doh!
I'm glad you didn't take offence. My Obsessive Compulsive Disorder demands that I fix things ;).
And yeah, like I said, anyone who is curious can use mine. The only other video for A Ha Ka Ma is by a primary school and it's not as easy to hear. Now no one will have to ask, they can just scroll down.
Fantastic. i hope you don't mind that I use this for my class to learn. I'll even try to make this my second ukelele song. After 10 green bottles of course. One miracle at a time. keep up the great work!
@BrightTimez . . .lol . . . she'll get a kick out of that one :) . . . she's living in Tokyo at the mo, so give her a minute of silence too . . . luvin your channel
@kiwichicke27 Here we go, another Maori girl havin a go at us for at least attempting to have a go at your culture. You're the shame on your own language haha!

zinkpham009 1 year ago
@zinkpham009 that's actually wrong. this song is the maori alphabet (10 consonants) H, K, M, N, P, R, T, W, NG & WH being used with each vowel.
the video is almost correct, however dani is singing the W twice, instead of R. lyrics are:
A - HA KA MA NA PA RA TA WA NGA WHA
E - HE KE ME NE PE RE TE WE NGE WHE
I - HI KI MI NI PI RI TI WI NGI WHI
O - HO KO MO NO PO RO TO WO NGO WHO
A E I O U
U - HU KU MU NU PU RU TU WU NGU WHU
chur ;)
