Some people are here to share random thoughts, while others are interested in the competition, I just came from a site where people cared more about the number of subcribers, but both groups are pacifists, which is where the problem comes from, peoples inability to care

i had to read the golden compass in 6th grade i HATE them so much. it might have just been that i didn't understand the underlining plot but i did not enjoy the book at all. it was a nice book but looking back i don't even remember the storyline.

Well that was probably because you were in 6th grade. The plot isn't a very easy one to grasp. But I'm surprised you were supposed to read it for school. It's a very controversial story, with it expressing atheist views and all.

Yes I seem to remember reading books like Huckleberry Finn and Where the Red Fern Grows. But now that you're not in 6th grade anymore, maybe if you try reading it again your opinion will change. I tried reading Harry Potter when I was in like 5th grade, but I hated it for some reason. And then in 9th grade I tried it again and friggin loved it. Now I'm obsessed. I have a snitch tattoo on my ankle to prove it.
