Actually, Catalan is spoken in Barcelona more often than Spanish and most advertising signs one sees in Barcelona are in Catalan. At least, this is based on me spending time in Barcelona for a few days. In my opinion, Barcelona is a beautiful city, with topless women sunbathing on public beaches. Some of the best architecture that I have ever seen in my life is in Barcelona! :-) All that being said, generally those who live there DO have a lisp in the way they talk -- both men and women.
