  • So Nigel Tufnel had a brief stint on drums, how about that.

  • A bit of this was just shown (July16, '11) on BBC2 on the secrets behind rock anthems.

  • @bbsteviebb I see Joan Jett was still struggling with reality still trying to say she wrote the song, even aftey showed the Arrows clip and the songwriters Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker were identified on the screen ! LOL.

  • @vivicola It seems Ms. Jett seemed disoriented in the interview and also confused about what constitutes the difference between "songwriting" and "arranging" a song. Her 1981 arrangement and interpretation was excellent, but she wrote nothing of this song. The Arrows 1975 version was the songwriting part, 100%.

  • @bbsteviebb Yes it was. The Arrows were great but the TV host was a jerk.

  • Great post. Thank you! I have this b-side version on CD "Arrows, As Bs and Rarities" from EMI.

  • A-F'ing-mazing performance!

  • This is a bit like the b side version on Arrows EMI reissue "A's B's and Rarities" !!

  • I love Alan's red espadrilles!

  • The Arrows do quite a few very different versions of this song and lots of other of their songs on youtube that were on the Arrows television show.

  • Right, there are also lots of youtube versions of the band's "First Hit" and "Dont Worry Bout Love" that sound extremely different.

  • When the zip comes down at 2:33 right in time to the music. Classic!

  • Glad this funky version was posted! Luvya!- Nena XX

  • Ian of the BCRs is so cute!

  • I love rock n roll!!

  • LOVE IT XXXXX

  • Yeah!

  • Glamrock version! Love it!!
