Ummm... the $100 laptop was $200 last year. OLPC has made no effort to bring the price down closer to the original goal and is blowing my donation money on advertising which they said they wouldn't do either.(one of the reasons given to keep the price down which it has never been)

I wish that we were able to bring the price down further, but that hasn't happened over the course of the year. All of our air time / ad banners / web advertising is donated this year, as always.

Funny how we were all neutral votes until yesterday. You come back a month later and today we are all neg by one, hmmm, but I digress. Negroponte's been spouting $100 laptop since 2006! He even said that it might be a bit higher, $125-$139 and that should be insignificant. O.K. off by 1/3, but 100% off? Wrong for 2 years? I donated last year; still haven't seen my GET1 yet. You may get ads for free, but I know YOKO didn't let John go for free; she GOT her "donation". People - tread cautiously.
