Try colourng with layers instead, Make your Linart layer with invisible bckg. and then subpose a white filled layer and coulour the parts that you want, if you got off edge with the colour, just use the selection tool and delete that areas...
nice tutorial... some times when i wany to color a part i just select the empty area with magic wand then just go to Edit > Fill > Foreground Color...
