I know these are head cams - but to be honest all the head movement makes me dizzy. i think they are far better fitted behind a motorbike screen, or behind some kind of clear screen on a bycycle frame. No shake no wind noise. And the Muvi clones - still 640 x 480 30 fps AVI (same factory, same spec, less vox) at less than £20 Post Free from HK on Ebay are better value. The Factory Gate Price in bulk is less than £6. So markups are truly amazing! There really is not much inside them.
Most motorcyclist videos have attached them behind the screen. The helmet mount should allow you to attach it to a bicycle handlebars....possibly a motorbike's front forks too (though you might need some editing software to correct the position).
I like having the helmet mounted footage. I use mine for cycle commuting (mainly), so if something was to happen I think it would be more useful to have a video showing what I was doing.
Not surprised about mark ups tbh, same with nearly everything.
The Veho is clearly superior to the ATC beating it in all cases. Better dynamic range, better low light, better contrast and a microphone that doesn't sound like your snorkelling.
But its not waterproof and you would not drop it onto concrete for a bet.
hehe, you mean the wind noise? The microphone does pick up a lot of wind, I tried doing a video review with the camera when cycling...but it wasn't really of that high a quality. When stopped/going slowly it can pick up conversations quite well!!
yep. It can pick up a bit more wind noise, but overal I'd say it does a better job at picking up sound.
I was going through some footage the other day and I had recorded 2 peds conversation when they walked past (i was at lights)...even i didn't hear them talking :P

The night section @ the end; the muvi seems to have a better mike than the ATC.
