The RMX is a really great console to start off with. It has all your basic functions and it really helped me learn how to do the basic stuff. But it is not recommended if you want to do anything other than hang with friends or something. Very bad audio quality if you move the pitch/tempo change AT ALL. So now I'm gonna upgrade. But If you really want to start learning and playing some small parties and stuff then totally get this. Cheap and efficient, and it's not bad at all unless you want to

Why do Dj commercials always have the Dj wearing some stupid hat pointing northeast into nowhere....arrrrrggh. I've yet to see a real DJ, pull that off without looking like dweeb. Dork on Weed; besides "nobody listens to the French" thus the subtitles.

have had this RMX over a yr now, or 2yr? got it when it came out....nice layout all METAL case, everything funcitons the way its supposed to, use this for ALL MY MIXES, good for simple scratching, nothing complex, VDJ 6 pro is what i use, have used everything else on the market for 10yrs+ and this is just plain and simple, USER Friendly! compare it to SERATO, and SERATO has a complex look (guessing to look more professinal?) VDJ and SERATO work the same, VDJ just easy to read and use. both good

Virtual DJ is crap compared to Serrato software, stick with Rane .

if you feel like you need to beatmatch to be a dj yes. i use traktor pro.

also, scratch live doesnt support the rmx unless the rmx is used only as a mixer which would defeat the purpose of buying an rmx wouldnt it?

Depends on what you define as a "DJ"

If you are not beat matching and not using turntables then I have little respect for what you do, that is hardly a skill.

Why would I care is Serrato supported those crappy controllers, I uses the wheels of steel! and a battle mixer Vestax pmc06 or a Rane TTM56.

If you are using ipods and CDs please stick with weddings and bat mitzvahs.

does it have master tempo on jogs?...while mixing with mk2 , when i want to easy follward the track in mix, and i spin gentely the weel, the track gets piched...

on a cdj or other cd players ...this doesn't happen.

and you need master tempo in club mixing ...

no it isn't, you have a extern audio card and a mixer under 400dollars. lol, the price is one of the best things of this mixer. other mixers in this (semi-pro) class cost up to 600 EUR or more. some dont even have a audio connection for that price. Its a decent mixer, but you cant expect like pioneer quality or so. its still just a midi controller...

i know.. but in my country is much expensive than (for example) numark DMX09 which you can use in clubs.. this is just for homemade music sets.. not for real mixing in a clubs..

well you wont find it in standart club setting, but i use it in my gear for party's and stuff. you'll need a other mixer (using pioneer 600 atm). so you attach RMX to pc, link your rmx out to the channels on your mixer and off you go. So it is possible if you like to use lots off effects and samples and stuff like me. and that numark DMX isn't really the clubstandard lol, never saw it anyway. And its fun if you go to a friend just to take your rmx and have some fun.
