@keshiasweet30 Every type of music uses the same beat. Electronica uses the same beat over and over, dubstep, rock, rap; any genre. The only genre I've ever come across that uses different beats and tempos in the same song is Metal (which I still am not a HUGE fan of)

Many from Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Guyana, Grenada brought reggae along with calypso influence to the country long before PR & DR even knew who Bob Marley was. "Don't let dem fool yuh...... Truth. Reggaeton started from the mix of U.S. rap, dancehall reggae from Jamaica and mostly plena (Panama version of dance hall reggae). After some local mixtapes using that drum sample, it came to be the basic rhythm patern for reggaeton.
