Alcohol has ruined more lives in our society than weed will ever do once the stigma of it being a "drug" is removed and it is allowed to be legal in the US. Its plain and simple take away the violence (power of the cartels) involved with weed by legalizing it and everyone will see it's true healing/comforting power. Regulate it like alcohol and pain meds, but it needs to be legal now.
Really ??? wow.. this guy is fighting for a right cause. We as Americans cannot trust our own government because they have lied and lied to us for so many years about the truth of marijuana. Its only a matter of time before we have medical marijuana as the other 14 states. Maybe not now but our people will be educated enough about the truth in due time

If you think everyone should be depressed and mortified you are a terrible person. Alchohol was illegal once and look at it now, everyone drinks it. just because someone tells you it's bad doesn't mean it is.
Marijuana has never ever ever ever hurt anyone, if you research its effects on the body and the brain you will see that it only regulates the body. Not one single person has ever died from smoking marijuana. Nor have their ever been any accidents from smoking marijuana and driving. Its hypocritical that smoking marijuana is illegal,but if you are caught high from marijuana you cannot be arrested. Most people that are against marijuana have never smoked it regularly.

I live in texas and it just sucks not having medical marijuana =( I have Scoliosis, stress, and sleep apnea and it sucks how we have to keep weed on such low profile (For personal use) when it really helps ALOT of ppl. I used to b one of those ppl who opposed weed but once i tried it last year i was like "this is the most amazing thing" It completely changed my perspective and to have my closest friend introduce it to me is great. Been SMOKIN SINCE

I live in Iowa where I can go to prison just by following Dr's orders. In Jan 2010 the Iowa Legislature will remove Marijuana from State Schedule I and put it in State Schedule II making it legal medicine yet still illegal in Iowa. Neither does it belong in Schedule II for it is safe.
