Yeah, sucks about saying he looks like a homo in the description and that he makes an ass out of himself when he handles it fine. Makes the poster look more like an ass really...
It is a real shame that as a politician Trevor Mallard doesn't know or accept basic Human Rights such as the right to Freedom of Association where you don't have to serve people you don't want to serve.
@Delosian But refusing to accommodate people based on their home town is discrimination. This motelier has no reason not to serve people from Wainuiomata other than the fact that they were from Wainuiomata. This doesn't fall under Article 20 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Freedom of association means people have an inalienable right to peaceful gatherings without interruption by the state, not setting out the legalities of Motel servitude.
as silly as the owner is, its his property and he can exclude whomever he wants. The exclusion is not on the basis of race/gender so not a matter for discrimination laws. The owner will be punished by losing business if word of mouth (and tv) indicates he's being a munter.
Trevor does sound girly with the "don't touch me" line, I presume its so he can bring assault charges if they guy persists, but trevor trying to charge anyone with assault is rank hypocracy
well i cant say ive ever been a fan of Mallards but after watching this i would like to congratulate him on having the balls to stand up for his electorate.
Born in Hamilton, schooled in Otago Im a kiwi through tna through. - working in America - Youd be surprised, they arent the most power nation on the earth for nothing. Smart people all over here - I work on Wall st. Now back to the topic.
Maoris dont respect peoples property or privacy, thats why hes done it so good on him.
Wow, I don't agree or disagree with your opinion (everyone's personal opinions are based on their own experiences and interpretations) , but Maori must really, really, piss you off.
I know the Maori grievance industry is thriving, and I see your point on Maori being ungrateful for not being treated the same as the Aboriginals in australia, but I believe the reasons were primarily financial as it was more cost effective and profitable to assimilate rather than annihilate.
I mean, as it stands, in reality, aren't we all just guests of The Crown? The colonisation of new Zealand was and is primarily a business operation conducted by The Crown. I don't believe anyone can claim any inherit credit for any improvements out of the stone age made to this country, unless you happen to be a direct descendent of the British Monarchy or aristocracy.
Im not a guest because I refuse to see my taxes wasted on the grievnace industry.
I disagree - one of my relations split the atom in turn paving the way for cheap fuel and a deterant that has kept the world stable for 60 years. Richard pierce arguably invented powered flight.
Whats a Maori ever invented? (dont say trench warfare as its not true. Hangis dont count either.
and thats why the population hates you. Govts are short of money and the first thing to stop will be cry babies crapping on about bullshit that happened before our fathers father fathers fathers were born. I dont hate all Maori, just what my taxes are wasted on. Its about time Maori started paying us rent for living in a first world democracy.
In an ironic coincidence, I used the Earnest Rutherford and Richard Pierce argument against some naieve American when he started slagging NZ and stated that no NZ'er had ever contributed anything of any significance to the world ever LOL
Perhaps you might be interested in the writings of Gary Cook and co, a Kiwi currently collating data that proves the existence of pre-maori steelement by other races.
Good old Mallard. Bit embarrasing when he said "dont touch me" but good on him for doing it! Wouldnt see the JohnKey doing it! Mallard seems to have had experience at roving reporting!

I mean, really, who gives a fuck? Stupid Aussie, we from Wainui will give our money to someone else.
Typical Aussie, thinks he's banning the 'darkies' from his motel.
METALHANGOVER 2 years ago
there is a reason why hes done it. The majority of "darkies" dont respect other peoples privacy and property. Good on him.
dontforgettheballs 2 years ago
wow you know the majority of all darkies?
METALHANGOVER 2 years ago
i know enough to know what they are like

And I know enough Americans to say that the majority of them are obese self-centric air-headed golems. I mean, those people are S-T-U-P-I-D.
But I won't cos that would be a generalisation.

The last time Trevor and I spoke (Christmas 2001) he threatened legal action if I was to place any more peak oil information in his home letter box.
He then spent the next 7-8 years ignoring any peak oil information. Only time will tell if that was a smart move, I don't think so.
oilcrash1 2 years ago
I dont blame him to be honest. I do the same, peak oil nuts will turn any topic to peak oil.
Say something as Irrelevant as a motel not taking certain people, whoops then it gets turned into peak oil soap box.
