this movie was so campy and fake. i like it tho. i read the book 1st ntho, and there was no dumb blonde chick or a city or a diner or any of this stuff. hollywood can really fuck up a good story.
i havent actually seen this film but why are some versions in colour and some not? and on some versions the birds are grey and others they are black crows.

this is not the ending. i have seen the ending (well i think its the ending) they get in the car with the two lovebirds and drive off. i still dont understand what the movie was about. i think it was because humans kill birds and the birds want revenge or something like that. or that the love birds where caged up and then the birds wanted to cage up the humans
the ending of this movie was great... although it would have been better if the birds had all flown towards the car.. it gives it more of a feel of panic and it questions you if they are caught by them or not..
Tamwehdistant5 is correct about the ending. This is not the correct ending.This is not really considered a stupid ending because it is not the end. The person who did this clip needs to be fired! The real ending was when they got in the small car and left just asTamwehdistant5 wrote.
hitchcock is legend and we are studying him in media class - but can i say the endings yes are really bad and cheesy but for example vertigo left me asking questions and he left things on a cliffhanger so we could imagine and wonder what was going to happen to the characters
also, can i just say his view on women i find is a bit stereotypical and a tad maybe even sexist?
Wait, is this the ending? The one that I saw on TCM had them all get into the car with the lovebirds... I realy liked that one. Just the way a horror should end. With a cliffhanger so you don't know if the charachters will live or die.
hitchcock had worse endings than this one...north by north west is a great movie but just like many of his films the ending is really cheesy and bad...the film itself is a macguffen i guess
