when I first heard that the original graphic novel writer of Watchmen spoke out against this film by saying 'he regretted ever selling it to Hollywood' - I automatically assumed that it was another terrible attempt at altering graphic novel to typical cheesy Superhero movie, but it was far from it.
It may not be the graphic novel writer's ideal idea of what he wanted, but it was still a very good original superhero movie. It's definetly up there with The Dark Knight and The Road to Perdition.

The comic permits you to see things from multiple perspectives, e.g. thought bubbles/monologues. 12 volumes of Watchmen develops characters until you feel what they experience. How can a 2 hour film replicate this?
To add insult to injury they changed the plot, making it nonsensical and omitting meaning and substance.

Watchmen, in my opinion, was a brilliant graphic novel and a fantastic movie. The cast fit their parts really well, I mean, Veidt was the only one who didn't look really close to his character. Except for maybe Laurie. I looove Nite Owl :) And Rorschach! They picked the best Rorschach, you've gotta admit.

Hell yeah. Isn't it incredible how nice and jolly jackie's whole personality and voice and everything is in real life, and when he's on screen he's just completely transformed into Rorschach who is like the opposite... Paranoid, constantly PMSing lol, dark, poetic, and one of the best comic heroes I have ever experienced.

nice. but isnt hugh jackman too big to play roschach? hugh is 6'3 and about 210lbs. roschach isnt that big even in the graphic novel. charlize theron without a doubt is the best for silk spectre 2. and ozymandias, i dont think danial craig suits the role. ozy is supposed to stand at 6'2 , daniel is 5'11. and ozy is a good looking/handsome guy. unlike daniel. haha.

Hell yeah. Isn't it incredible how nice and jolly jackie's whole personality and voice and everything is in real life, and when he's on screen he's just completely transformed into Rorschach who is like the opposite... Paranoid, constantly PMSing lol, dark, poetic, and one of the best comic heroes I have ever experienced.
He may be twisted, but he is freaking amazing. And IMO the whole cast did a great job.

Well honestly i never read the book BUT seeing the movie entices me even more to grab a copy of the book . The movie is AWSOME and the special effects are priceless they prolly went thru soo much 2 film that movie and let me tell u i wud give it 5 stars. It is truly a masterpiece in my eyes
