one of the top cubes in the correct location but needs to be flipped, i keep doing the algorithm provided but its not working out, it changes the corner pieces but not correctly. -_-
Hey guys, if you are having trouble with this step, just check out my new channel and each step is a video just like this so that i can get in detail on each part
I am getting frustrated....in step 6 I only get one corner to match, no matter what I do or how many times I go trough the solved problems or how many times I do the U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L I always end up with only one solved corner and the other 3 are just not matching, I dont ever get 2 to match =(
Woo!!! I just solved my first ever Rubik's Cube at the grand old age of 24 from watching you're vids. I have a strange sensation of total joy at this fairly benign accoumplishment haha. Cheers. lol x
Thanks a lot for putting this up!!! its wonderful video and explanation is precise. I could easily catch up until the 5th step and hav an issue with the 6th step. I exactly follow your alogrithim, have tried it like 30-40 times during last one week hoping that i should have misd somthing but the result has been the same. the problm is whn i do this step, the green corner cube flips to top corner (i.e. takes the blue corner) can you help me fix this, if possible, plz mail me to subash.k@live.in
I have two corners solved, but the other corners are not (they are not in the right spot at all, they are next to where they should be). Does this mean they've been put in the wrong place when it has been taken apart?
i have 1 solved and the others are in the correct places but no fliped correct, and iv been doing this step for over 10 min and they dont flip right. what do i do?
I did everything the same as you did and when I finished this step and I passed to the next one, and it was like if you change the cube, because it wasn't finished like the one before, so I get lost, and unable to finished. (probably because I did the same you did at step 7 and it get worse)
the way i remember it is your bottom color (red in this case) is a worm. you turn the up face then bring the worm on the right up then you chop its head off and move it to the right. then you bring your left worm up and chop its head off to the left, then you sew the other worm's head back on then put it back in the ground then you turn the up face and sew the other's head back on and put it back
i do this step .. but ,, when i make this step 2 colour of my cubes have been solve..it's the bottom and the above ..what i must do ? ..unscramble them back ?
What If I only have to square remaining tocomplete the cube but they are in the middle edge, how do i get those two colors and put them in place without upsetting the others?? Plz help..I have ran in to this issue more than once bfore..
@Tuffdawg94 As long as their in the location they should be in then move to step 7. Remember we're not trying to solve it in this step. We're just trying to get those corners in the spots were they need to be. Hope that helps.
whe i did the algerithem i had the same thing as you the upper blue/white/orange corner done but, when i did the algerithem the second time the corner cubes are in the right place but they won't flip what do i do?
@TheEilidhmcb If there all in the correct spot then move to step 7. Now that there all mixed up find one that is correct. If it needs to be fliped that's okay just find one that is in its home. Then with it to your upper right do the step. Check to see if any others are correct. If not then find the one that is still correct and with it to your upper right do the step again. Now all should be correct. Step 7 we solve.
@moonearthable1 This is the easiest to learn. There are faster ways but it's way harder. There are like a bizzilion diffrent algarithims to learn that way.
Sorry if you have already answered this but had a quick look. I have a problem with step 6 where I can match two corners with the U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L. But once at this stage I cannot get the other two to match they are in the incorrect position and no matter how many times I do algo it doesn't get them to step 7 position to finish. Would be great if someone can help please.
a problem i had was none of the corners matched up. (the problem that's described in video) what i did was do the trick on the same side until one corner was not perfect, but in the right spot, then i did the technique with that corner on upper right just once, after that i went to next color to right (or left if you choose) and apply technique once. repeat once per side until one or more corners were perfect.
i think the my problem was differentiating between left inverted and right inverted. Left inverted twist upwards while right inverted twists downwards.
Don't worry about if the colors are lining up, only worry that the corner cubes have the 3 correct colors on them, if they are flipped wrong, that is okay, you will flip them correctly in step 7.
hey do i go right on ahead if 1 of them is solved and the other three are in their right locations???? cuz i didnt even have to move anything... is tat good???? i didnt do anything sense step 4.
ok now i decided to do smthing a lil different. instead of doing the same right side over and over again, i decided to do a wrong side to see wat happens. and i ended up with all 4 corners mest up. so i did the algarithm again like u said in the video and i get no sides right . help
I'm glad you've understood every thing till now. The trick to this step is that once you have one corner correct (Doesn't have to have blue on top) you rotate the entire cube so that the corect corner is to your upper right. After you do that you will not change your front again for this step. Also remember that the corner doesn't have to be fliped corectly it just needs to be in the correct spot. Hope that helps.
hey dude uhm i gots a problem. when i do the algarithm i only get one side in the right spot, and rarley 2 sides. but the rest are incorrect and in the wrong spot. ive done the algarithm at least 20 times and i still end up the same. help me plz
They don't have to be fliped correct they just need to be in the right spot. Also once you have one that is correct. Put it to your upper right and then what ever side is your front will remain your front for the rest of the step.
I have a serious problem. I can have the blue cross plus 2 corners, and I can have everything on the sides the way it's supposed to be. But whenever I do the algorithym, it ends up moving one of the greens. Every single time. I put it back & try it again, and the same thing happens. I try another side. Same thing. Always moves one of the greens. I tried another guys tutorial & the same happened. I was paying very close attention to make sure i didnt screw up. Is this normal for green to move?
I'm guessing that you got past step 3. First no it's not normal for a green to move. Is green your bottom when doing this step? Let say red is your front and you do a right move that brings up the green layer. then you do an up inverted or counter clockwise that moves the green corner however we then do a Li move that brings up the other green layer and then do another Up move bringing back the first corner green and then the Ri Fixes that side. After that is another Ui and L that fixes it.
i have 6 blues in a row like you have...but my remaining two are in the wrong spots. a red white & blue cube on orange white & blue. And a blue yellow red cube on yellow blue orange.
Then pick a side that isn't blue or green to be your front and do the step once. Then look at the corners to see if one is in the correct spot. Now it maybe fliped right and it might not. Just as long as it's in the correct spot it's okay. Then have that corrner to your upper right and do the step untill all corners are in there home.
Sounds like you're adding a step or a move. Um I don't really know how to help ya here. I guess I would just sudjest that you make sure you go slowly. Another thing to remember is that when you don't have any corners in the correct spot that you only need to do the step once in order to get a corner in the correct spot. Then once you have a correct corner you will only need to do the step at most 2 times.
Also after you have one in the right spot and you put that to your upper right then what ever color is your front will remain your front till you've compleated the step. Well hope that helps
Hi, I had the exact same problem and it turned out I wasn't moving the left / left inverted sequence the correct way. Left is the left side towards you. But right is the right side away from you. confusing, but I was mixing them up and was ending up with my bottom corners up on top.
ok man, i am now on this step, but i am having some serious problems. none of my 4 were correct, and so I did the algorythm but it ended up that blue was on the bottom left of the white face. and white on the bottom right of orange.
So you did the step and you have a corner in the bottom layer? Well if that happend you might have had a front that you shouldn't have. When you don't have any corners in the correct spot then you can use any side as your front besides green and blue. It's eathier that or that you just did a wrong move. Don't get down, just try it again. You're getting close and soon you'll have it.
Well in this step the corners don't have to be solved just in there correct spots. In the next step we flip them so that they are solved. If that's not your problem then you might want to stop by my web page tonight at 6pm central for live help.
If none of your corners are in the right spot then you need to go back to step 6. Do you have the blue cross? If you do then step 6 is the right step. If you don't you'll need to go back to step 4 or 5. I hope that helps.
Okay, so I have one corner that is solved (white and red one) and it is in the upper right corner but no matter how many time i do the algorithm (with the white face as the front), it doesn't solve any other corners. What am I doing wrong? The Rubix cube is brand new and has not been taken apart.
Thank you for the videos by the way, I can understand them so much more than the instructions that come with it.
You are on the right track. They don't need to be solved that is taken care of in the next step. In this step we just want to get them in the home, so just make sure that their in the correct spot and then move to the final step.
Are you working on the corners or the edges? If you're working on the corners make sure you have one corner in the correct spot and then once you do that have it to your upper right and what ever side that makes your front NEEDs to be your front for the rest of the step. Also has your cube ever been disassybled? If so you might have to take it apart and switch the corners. If your cube was put together wrong then it can be unsolvable.
i do this algo once and then it puts all blues at top besides 3 so ido it again using the correct side but then it just ends up exactly like it did before i did the algo the second time...
That's cause you're changing your front. Once you have a corner in the correct spot, make sure it's to your upper right and then what ever side you have as you front leave as your front for the rest of the step.
The only other thing that could be going on is if your cube had been taken appart and put back together wrong. If that is the case then you would have to pop out the edge cube and rearange the corners so that it would work. If that has happend your cube could be unsolvable becuase of it.
If it's new then I would say don't take it appart. Just make sure when doing this step that once you have a corect cube have it to your upper right and don't change your front for the rest of the step.
ok i have the blue top side solved and the bottom green side solved white orange red and yellow i have the very bottom row and the middle row the top row is all messed up can u help me?
Ok sounds like your thinking that the blue top layer is solved when it's not. Remember the grey cubes can be any color even blue. Some times you have a solid blue side before you have finished the cube just make sure you have the blue cross which it sounds like you do then You need to match up the blue edges with their other colors. I've also sent you a video about this so check your youtube mail. Hope that helps.
Is there something wrong with my rubix cubebecause when I tryto do thisstep it is always the 2 next to eachother or the 2 diagnol from eacother that need to be flipped and this algorythem cant do that
Well first make sure that once you have one cube correct that you don't change your front. Remembering that is a big problem for some. If you're sure that you're following this video to the letter then yes your cube might have been taken apart & put back together in correctly. If you think that might be the problem then watch my video called problems with step 7 & follow the instructions on how to take apart your cube. Then put the corners in there correct spot and try it again. Hope that helps
I actually solved it by doing this step lol!

Sage80 3 years ago

Sage80 3 years ago
So how many are in the correct spot? Remember the corrners don't have to have blue on top. We just want them in the correct spot.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
Unfortunately none of them are.
Sage80 3 years ago
Then pick a side that isn't blue or green to be your front and do the step once. Then look at the corners to see if one is in the correct spot. Now it maybe fliped right and it might not. Just as long as it's in the correct spot it's okay. Then have that corrner to your upper right and do the step untill all corners are in there home.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
Ya, I tried that with all 4 faces (except blue & green) and it always ends up that it ruins the bottom row of one of those 4. its crazy!
Sage80 3 years ago
Sounds like you're adding a step or a move. Um I don't really know how to help ya here. I guess I would just sudjest that you make sure you go slowly. Another thing to remember is that when you don't have any corners in the correct spot that you only need to do the step once in order to get a corner in the correct spot. Then once you have a correct corner you will only need to do the step at most 2 times.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
Also after you have one in the right spot and you put that to your upper right then what ever color is your front will remain your front till you've compleated the step. Well hope that helps

I went to a website with solutions, and I was able to fix it with this algorithm:
Ri
U
Li
Ui
R
U
L
U
Sage80 3 years ago
Wow that should just mess it up. However if it worked for you then great.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
actually, it didnt. it just left it the same. always one cube messing up the bottom row .
Sage80 3 years ago
Hi, I had the exact same problem and it turned out I wasn't moving the left / left inverted sequence the correct way. Left is the left side towards you. But right is the right side away from you. confusing, but I was mixing them up and was ending up with my bottom corners up on top.
destulips 3 years ago
Ya. I was moving left the same way i was moving right. It only occurred to me after i was watching very very closely.
Sage80 3 years ago
ok man, i am now on this step, but i am having some serious problems. none of my 4 were correct, and so I did the algorythm but it ended up that blue was on the bottom left of the white face. and white on the bottom right of orange.
Sage80 3 years ago
So you did the step and you have a corner in the bottom layer? Well if that happend you might have had a front that you shouldn't have. When you don't have any corners in the correct spot then you can use any side as your front besides green and blue. It's eathier that or that you just did a wrong move. Don't get down, just try it again. You're getting close and soon you'll have it.

This is so strange, I did some wrong algorithm and my cube is SOLVED!!! Thanks for the help.
radradomness 3 years ago
wait my red side is solved my top right and left are flipped help on the orange side am i on the right track?
MrMonkey006 3 years ago
Well in this step the corners don't have to be solved just in there correct spots. In the next step we flip them so that they are solved. If that's not your problem then you might want to stop by my web page tonight at 6pm central for live help.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
none of my corners are in the right spot please help
MrMonkey006 3 years ago
If none of your corners are in the right spot then you need to go back to step 6. Do you have the blue cross? If you do then step 6 is the right step. If you don't you'll need to go back to step 4 or 5. I hope that helps.

Okay, so I have one corner that is solved (white and red one) and it is in the upper right corner but no matter how many time i do the algorithm (with the white face as the front), it doesn't solve any other corners. What am I doing wrong? The Rubix cube is brand new and has not been taken apart.
Thank you for the videos by the way, I can understand them so much more than the instructions that come with it.
ElleContagious 3 years ago
Wait if you have a corner in the right place but flipped, does that count?
ElleContagious 3 years ago
You are on the right track. They don't need to be solved that is taken care of in the next step. In this step we just want to get them in the home, so just make sure that their in the correct spot and then move to the final step.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
ok, i've done this step sooo many times and the cross
is there and everything. The the orange and yellow are in
place but the green and red cubes re mixed up.
What do i do???
spedfed 3 years ago
Are you working on the corners or the edges? If you're working on the corners make sure you have one corner in the correct spot and then once you do that have it to your upper right and what ever side that makes your front NEEDs to be your front for the rest of the step. Also has your cube ever been disassybled? If so you might have to take it apart and switch the corners. If your cube was put together wrong then it can be unsolvable.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
i already no this lame move
xpress069 3 years ago
i do this algo once and then it puts all blues at top besides 3 so ido it again using the correct side but then it just ends up exactly like it did before i did the algo the second time...
ne0ngeek 3 years ago
That's cause you're changing your front. Once you have a corner in the correct spot, make sure it's to your upper right and then what ever side you have as you front leave as your front for the rest of the step.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
The only other thing that could be going on is if your cube had been taken appart and put back together wrong. If that is the case then you would have to pop out the edge cube and rearange the corners so that it would work. If that has happend your cube could be unsolvable becuase of it.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
no its new but i dont know i might take it all apart and put it together solved, then scramble and try again.
ne0ngeek 3 years ago
If it's new then I would say don't take it appart. Just make sure when doing this step that once you have a corect cube have it to your upper right and don't change your front for the rest of the step.

why is the vid not playing anymore?
mag7cute 3 years ago
Don't know plays fine for me. Maybe refresh and try again. If that still doesn't work check out my web site. I have the videos there also.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
ok i have the blue top side solved and the bottom green side solved white orange red and yellow i have the very bottom row and the middle row the top row is all messed up can u help me?
KrajisnikSaKorduna 3 years ago
Ok sounds like your thinking that the blue top layer is solved when it's not. Remember the grey cubes can be any color even blue. Some times you have a solid blue side before you have finished the cube just make sure you have the blue cross which it sounds like you do then You need to match up the blue edges with their other colors. I've also sent you a video about this so check your youtube mail. Hope that helps.
poisonstinger 3 years ago
You son of a bitch! I've been trying to solve this freakin' thing for 20 years! I totally did it. Thank you.

I have all of the corners in the right spot, and i have one of them solved... whatt should I do from here?
cavemandark 3 years ago
move to step 7
poisonstinger 3 years ago
um no some such as aniversery cubes have brighter or more vibrant colors =p
mr4ng3dr 3 years ago
Is there something wrong with my rubix cubebecause when I tryto do thisstep it is always the 2 next to eachother or the 2 diagnol from eacother that need to be flipped and this algorythem cant do that
LordPain801 3 years ago
Well first make sure that once you have one cube correct that you don't change your front. Remembering that is a big problem for some. If you're sure that you're following this video to the letter then yes your cube might have been taken apart & put back together in correctly. If you think that might be the problem then watch my video called problems with step 7 & follow the instructions on how to take apart your cube. Then put the corners in there correct spot and try it again. Hope that helps

i have the same rubiks cube as u
