This game was a classic case of how something can come back to bite you down the road.
At the end of that season, Dallas and San Antonio tied for the league's best record at 60-22. The Spurs had the tiebreakers, so they finished ahead.
Why do I relate that to this?
If L.A. doesn't pull off this comeback, the Mavs finish with 61 wins, get home court advantage all the way, and who knows how that plays out.
