Why is it a Republican disaster? LOL Bush didn't make the policies that led to the blow up of the economy. Congress did and it was signed into law by Clinton and endorsed by Alan Greenspan. Much of it had to do with Freddie and Fannie not being regulated, due to the fact that they were paying Congress off to not regulate them. It was mostly Democrats who fought against the regulations, in fact, as they were receiving huge kickbacks, Obama among them (2nd leading recipient).
